jimmy - u state that |Jones is decent.  What does decent mean??  My statement is that Jones is a division 2 boxer

That's fine Danny C, ofcourse we seen fighters push on after a tough test, however I just dont see brook ever being a top level fighter

Also his career has been a breeze so far due to the lack of a quality opponent, he went in there today against a bloke who has eight loses and he only just scrapped through

100% agree henry but you could use what your saying as a counter arguement. The lack of quality opponents possibly led to him walking in there thinking it would be at a canter. like in all sports, if you underestimate your opponent your mentally unprepared. End of the day, kell hung on today and the next fight will be make or break for him. perfect preparation for him to kick on if the class is there. soon see fellas, was a good fight for the tv audience at least! unlike the spectacle that just ended on channel 5 in what looked like a barn!

I do agree that it could and should be a kick up the backside for brook and I also agree the tyson fight was a joke but that was always to be expected

Exactly wat does division 2 mean.

Of course jones brook r world class. Brook possibly top 5, jones certainly top 10 in division for my money. So world class?????

Of course he is.

Of course khan should beat brook via points.

But brook will ko khan if he starts yto land.

Quality fighters. Quality fight. Close fight end of.

I had brook by a point

henry i think he is talking in fact terms. world class i suppose means different things to different people. i see world class as would be able to fight at the top level, whereas some people for arguements sake are saying anyone from top 10 upwards is technically world class as they are the best ten in the world.

and since were only able to go on kells performances to date, he certainly didnt show the world class top 5 side than many people were assume would be given.

as ive said in previous comments i have a lot of hope for him, but on current showings, no where near the top 5!

Maybe, clearly a term that is thrown around far to easily these day in almost every sport

great nights boxing anyway, bit pissed off about missing the 2/1 Proksa stoppage but the treble is looking good.

Honours pretty even on tonight's bets, honestly think Kell was out on his feet at the end of the 12th though, would have been a nice bonus.

Brook points win for me at 2/1 looks the value at this stage. Not committed to a bet yet. Will be in attendance and it looks a cracking card.

another good call smido, hope you cleaned up.

thought kell could of got fight stopped think it was the 5th round if been more agressive and may needed to of done that against a better oponent, but a wins a win and as i had some 2s for points so   was more than happy, i had him infront by 2 not that it matters

Thanks for the mention Alabaster. Had a very good betting day. Played the Brook points at 2/1 and Proksa KO at 13/8 (another one that missed early value) paid around £144 for a £20 double. Was a great night and was seated on the thrid row which was a bonus! Got to speak to a few guys ringside so bodes well for future attendnace and blogs.

As for the main event I had Brook a pretty wide 9-2-1 winner from ringside. No bias commentary to deal with. Brook cleanded up in the first 6 and, as I thought after Hatton fight and now confirmed, his power isn't good enough. Easy to criticise the performance but it was one Brook needed to come through and would rather happen against Carson Jones than Randall Bailey or Tim Bradley for instance. Eddie Hearn was very honest afterwards when saying changes need to be made and will be made. Hearn is a cool dude by the way, very approachable and I even managed to ask about the Betfair relationship with Matchroom - he didn't know much about it to be fair.

Gavin Rees impressed me.

Darren Barker will jab Proksa's head off by the way. Glad the Pole scored a KO as the odds will be shorter about him Vs Barker than if it'd gone to points (vs Hope). Barker to beat Proksa could be a big bet for me depending on odds of course.

Yeah Barker will box rings round Proksa if they meet but not convinced we'll get a decent price.
