I have just picked up that C is over here at Norman Court. He is a good strong Kodiac and although his form is moderate I thought he might do ok. My post isn't really about him but more about him coming over in his 3rd season. I doubt he will get much interest and surely if he came for his second season he would have done much better. At least Fast Company had winners on the ground when he came over for a season. Its not much to offer British breeders, 3rd and 4th season and away if he does well. Anyway hope everyone's mares are foaling well.

He covered 16 mares last year truehonch so there is absolutely no point in him staying where he was to cover no mares this time.
We all saw how dead in the water 'wrong year' cheapie stallions were at the sales last autumn so that typeare simply going to get 10 dreadful mares this spring wherever they are but you can't blame them for trying!
It seems like he might be quite good looking so I suppose that type always has a shot if they can churn them out with a stamp, but we are really going to see some heavy casualties amongst his type.
There are some very unpopular sires out there in this spring's round of nomination applications.

The market dictates nothing else I fear.

Hi PotM, I wasn't aware of his numbers for last year (and quite surprised). I am not a massive fan of Kodiac however the nice ones are very attractive and I thought he was one of them. You are right, bargains probably wont be bargains! Good luck with your foals.

I have had a Mason filly so far PotM and only one very late foal due. My other mare didn't get in foal so I wont be headlining at the sales this year!! I do have a nice Fast Company 2yo filly that will be in training this year so something to look forward to (I hope!)

Think part of the problem with Coulsty is, if you want a son of Kodiac, you may as well use either Kodi Bear or Adaay, depending which side of the Irish Sea you live.

heard any first season sire 2yo’s making an impression? Couple of trainers I’ve spoken to seem to like their Night of thunders
