I don't think many breeding students would have expected Wootton Bassett to produce a world class 10 furlong horse, me included, but when you look at the dam side, the Aga Khan families are there again.
There is no doubt WB is off to a dream start as a stallion, but so did Dalakhani and Sinndar! The French do need a top stallion, as their current roster is decidedly second-rate. If I was to choose between Siyouni and WB, I would go for the former.

My thought was Almanzor was an old name copied from Almanzor dob 1713 (although I see another two Almanzor dob 1936 and 1996). Is the trainer advised by someone who knows a bit more than the average about pedigrees, and saw something others didn't?
