I am trying to find a Timeform running rating for USA sires.
Obviously Timeform did not operate in the USA.
"A Century Of Champions" by Portway Press Limited lists the top 200 horses of the 20th century with Timeform style number ratings.
It also lists the top 100 American horses (i.e running horses), many were geldings. Even Man O' War (1917) is in the list.
These top sires (among others) do not appear on the list because they were not good enough on the track.
Northern Dancer; Bold Reason; Mr Prospector; Danzig; Raise A Native; Storm Cat; Hoist The Flag.
Some didn't run much due to soundness problems.
I have Timeform annuals from 1953 but that doesn't help with US runners.
If you can't point me to a Timeform style rating I am interested in any comparable ratings.
