He will never come near the record of Northern Dancer and wouldn't lace Nearco's boots
In all, Northern Dancer sired 635 foals over 23 seasons. Of those, 80 percent (511) raced, and 80 percent of those (410) were winners. Of his 146 stakes winners, 26 were declared champions in Ireland, England, France, Italy, the United States and Canada.
The undefeated Nearco is arguably the best of the lot and his legacy is beyond reproach.
