Disavow was the eighth July winner for Shamardal. After a slow start to 2014 he has now produced 41 wins since May 1 and is tied for second with Exceed and Excel to leader Invincible Spirit in my table of GB sires. Mark Johnson seems to do particularly well with his progeny.

He had him as a 2yo. I think a lot are homebred and he trains for them (Darley) so gets a lot. If they run as he did good gallopers then that suits Johnson's style

that was a good price winner, backed some winners myself this month, most notably FENDALE and EXTRASOLAR yesterday, the latter had good form behind MILLYS GIFT. FENDALE is well bred type, gone into the notebook, has gimcrack entry, obviously well thought of.
