Wow! I took a chance on an unbeaten Motivator filly in the Prix Diane to beat the milers and didn't she win! If she is in the irish Oaks she is a shoo in.

what made you choose that horse? im thinking a combination of perfect record and the sire motivator.
should of had a look at that race. good price, was rated 96 just like talent before the group 1 win,
very similar profiles. was good time in that race fast(4.23) looks astonishing she broke time barrier

I looked at the first 4 in the betting and they were all closely matched on previous form so none were likely to be superstars. As you say, the winner had the right profile. By a staying sire but capable of winning at 2yo and again over 9 furlongs. Trained by a very good outfit and totally unexposed. It might have finished last but at 14 on here it looked a sporting bet. Fillies often improve massively during their 3yo career and as you say Talent has already shown the way. It would be interesting to see them both over 12 furlongs in the Yorkshire Oaks or Vermeille. The time was good but apparently the distance is questionable.

the time was good? she broke the track record by two seconds!

But the next 3 also broke the old track record and there has been much discussion about how far the race was. Thought to be at least one second shorter than before but still an outstanding performance and she wasn't even ridden right out.

"looks astonishing she broke the time barrier", has proven to be the very best around. hope you enjoyed that. awesome

Like Remote at Newbury, I feel very satisfied with my judgement of Treve as a horse that will go to the top from first impressions. I had several ante post bets but still didn't expect her to win the Arc as easily as that. I have still not read why Remote has not run since Royal Ascot but if he recovers from whatever is wrong, he can still prove Group 1 class.

what price was treve for the arc when you bet ?, my first year putting on a few antepost bets for 2014. was the time of the race
that told me the horse was special 4.23 fast, rarely seen times like that, then the 2nd went and won the group 1 in ireland,
like sky lantern beating just the judge and then that goes and wins a group 1 in ireland, you know the form is getting better
all the time. first arc ive watched and taken an interest in, was cheering on treve all the way, opposition was non exisitent
shame the novellist didnt turn up, that was another horse that set a fast time and was looking forward to horse running. WD

Ironically, I didn't even beat SP! The draw really pushed her out as did the hype behind Orfevre and Novellist in the final 2 days. I held off until I was sure she was a certain runner as I hate losing ante post on non runners.
