Hopefully someone on here will be able to dazzle you with statistics on such a pedigree cross proxygene. Sadly it ain't gonna be me though! Roberto had many good moments at stud and was a good sire which ever way you look at it. However he was very hot and cold as he was capable of transmitting plenty of faults. If you were to try inbreeding to Sadlers Wells say, well you may or may not be successful but at least the list of undesirable traits he was responsible for is a very short one.
Better people than me would point you to 'big' 'plain' temperamental' and unsound, notably through his knees, as reasons to be careful. Or perhaps they wouldn't and I'm up sh1t creek once again having mislayed my paddle!

Hi Proxygene, see below quote from Kyle Wilson of 3 chimneys stud (may not be very impartial!)
"War Chant's champion dam is by Kris S. (by Roberto), and Wilson mentioned that Three Chimneys has promoted inbreeding to Roberto.
"Sometimes people shy away from Roberto inbreeding due to temperament," Wilson explained, "but War Chant has a great disposition. We think more Roberto can add more bone and durability. War Chant already has two grade I-placed horses inbred to Roberto (Brilliant and Chattahoochee War)."

Inbreeding to Roberto, who himself has one of the most inbred pedigrees you will find in a sire wont necessarily provide you with any advantage. Inbreeding like any other breeding theory is not an exact science and the results of such matings are open to interpretation.
