I don't know why this makes me laugh, but the NH sire now commands a higher fee than Authorized (soon to join that sphere methinks), Iffraaj, Manduro etc..

Can't help thinking that a punt on Shirocco say for a NH future will represent better value than being one of 5 million expensively produced Presentings. However I am NH lite so I really should butt out!

I loved Montjeu as a horse and he's a great sire of a middle distance racehorse but can't help but think his stallion sons are going to be a waste of time for commercial flat breeders.

Authorized and Motivator already have very flakey profiles to my admittedly untrained eye as young stallions and I can't really see why it should be too different with Pour Moi although I do think he was a marginally better racehorse than both the aforementioned.

Montmartre is standing as a NH sire in France (I think?!) so no surprised to see the new Authorized fee topped by the mighty Presenting!

Be interesting to see what Galileo's sons do over the next year or two also, Teo and New App.... guess they are his flag bearers while we wait for Frankel to turn up after his racing duties are complete.

Where is Cape Blanco going now he's done? Effective over plenty of distances, any going, tough and genuine and his dam was all speed so he's got a chance with all that behind him surely...not sure what he's like confirmation wise or anything though, Happy

I dont agree Studious1

Montjeu will get stallion sons. Its just a matter of time. Although i haven't researched it thoroughly, I dont think he has had the sharp precocious mares that Galileo has had yet, which will make the difference.

i prefere him to Galileo

All is not necessarily lost with Authorized. A son of Montjeu, out of a mare by a son of Rainbow Quest.

I feel, he at least deserves a year with his 3YOs before we make a judgement call.
