These are two of the best racemares I´ve evr seen but I can´t remember either producing anything of note at stud. Does anyone know what happened to them?
Brace yourself. Triptych got herself run over by a truck before she had any offspring I'm afraid.
Ouija Board wasn't that long ago remember! She has an unraced Kingmambo 3yo as her first foal, Voodoo Prince and a 2yo by Monsun plus plenty more in the pipeline. Early days.

Am I right in thinking Triptych ran into the night watchman's truck jumping over the hood in panic then breaking her neck just after she was scanned in-foal to Mr Prospector? As for the mighty Ouija Board I have my doubts she will be any good as a successful brood mare,as Potentialmillionaire points out it is early days but going down the stamina laden route will imo only trash her.If I was her loving owner or Peter Stanley I would perhaps be thinking was that idea the best way to enhance her chances.............it hasn't exactly got off to a flyer has it?

Sad to hear about Triptych, I assumed she had died. What an amazing racemare she was.
Re Ouija Board, I have to agree with you PD, in today´s market they need to be injecting some speed into the offspring with something like Oasis Dream or Pivotal rather than Monsun...

I often wondered if Triptych was an insurance job as it was so bizarre, but she was at Claiborne wasn't she so one assumes not!
I too am not sure about Ouija Board. However most of that is a natural caution that should be applied to any prospect - failure being the most likely scenario for most of them - but I suppose it's not a pedigree that inspires confidence.
I think I would like to give her plenty of chances with 'classic' sires as it would be like with like and that has to be the best shot. However I would like to mix it up a bit to avoid 100% slow boats. The problem being double Danzig would be hard to avoid and next generation would be a pain to deal with. Hopefully Dubawi could help if he is as good as he looks. I bet the Monsun was supposed to be a filly!
