Its been said to death, but Noverre was such a loss to the domestic breeding industry. He would have slotted into the "Bahamian Bounty / Compton Place / Royal Applause" bracket perfectly. I'd have loved to use him every year.

Certainly a ton of winners Wilycayote.

Incidentally, welcome to the forum, but you seem to have joined at a quiet time. I am sure it will get more 'feisty' again in due course!

Hard to know where Noverre could have sat commercially as there's precious little logic to that despite his consistency.

Also hard to work out Rahy as a sire of sires. Love Noverre, loath Fantastic Light. Strong Suit could be one on the horizon.

Noverre progression over 4 years 27, 48, 63, 78.

Nice stats Sageform, perhaps I should be sending a mare across the pond to Le Havre to see if some of the Noverre magic rubs off on his best son.

Medicean sticks out for me. For no other reason than I don't rate him..but that figure stands up well, relatively speaking.

Second season sires was really just a two horse race, but the table shows up Avonbridge as good value as he's cheaper than all the others below him. Oratorio dissapointing after encouraging first year.

Footstepsinthesand had more winners then i thought but i suppose he covered large books.

How come Kodiac doesn't get a mention?
Report sageform January 7, 2011 7:07 PM GMT
Apologies for missing Kodiak. He is actually second on the first season list with 26. Blame my eyesight. I don't keep separate lists so have to sort them out from a total of over 600 names on my spreadsheet.
