Anyone seen Rip van Winkle - the horse not the elusive Betfair sage - and Starspangledbanner yet?
I thought that Amanda Skiffington was a bit candid in this months International Thoroughbred magazine. I bet she's off their christmas card list. . .

I was down there to see the stallions a month ago. I was very impressed with Starspangledbanner he's a very rangy scopey horse, he is not a big block of a horse like his sire. He has a nice step and was a nicer looking individual than i had expected to see after he came out of training. I was a small bit disappointed with Rip as he doesnt look as classy as he should, he is more like a Derby horse than miler when i saw him.Didn't see Alfred Nobel at all. I saw some of the other stallions was impressed by Yeats all of the stallions were not there

Thanks for that Rip. I like the idea of Starspangledbanner so am quite 'pleased' he is likeable.
I don't know whether they will deal a bit on him although on reflection I would prefer not so his book doesn't become totally humungous. Can't see me using him mind as he doesn't fit for one reason or another, but I can see him being a bit sparkly come sales time (individuals allowing ofcourse).
I thought that for Demi to buy Rip in Italy and off a weakish page, he would be a bit special to the eye. Maybe not . . .
