Standing at Hedgeholme stud for a asking price of 2k,being a classy son of Kyllachy our of a mare by the great Danehill coming from the family of Don't Forget Me is he in with a shout?Don't think we have yet had a son of Kyllachy but it now looks like we are going to get one.He was classy enough to win the Park stakes GR2 twice and then the GR2 Challenge at HQ.Does the fact he did not win at 2 put you off?You could perhaps say the same for Kyllachy himself though he did win in the Aug' but only at low level, its doesn't seem to stop him getting plenty of 2y'olds,so with this new stallion retiring at at least a realistic fee is he likely to follow on from his consistent sire?
Richardson getting in his head that Kyllachy is a sire of sires is the last thing I need when negotiating reasonable fees As with all these recent ropey new bargain bucket sires - whos going to buy them and what does it say to the market about your mare?

I don't know what it says about your mare only perhaps that she is not in the 10/20k bracket.I do wonder with this new sire if as he won at Doncaster and the fact he is going to stand in the North of England I could see him maybe selling well at Doncaster? A nice one with a half decent page should get into the main sale there a modest page but nice sort then it could go to the Festival sale. One thing in his favour is the fact running so many times you could say he is tough and sound that fact wont go unnoticed at Donny and being by Kyllachy up there can only help I would think. If you are talking about sending one to Kyllachy with Chris Richardson then offer him 5k at most and tell him to wake up to reality!

My initial thought about Arabian Gleam was reasonably favourable. It is certainly a low fee for a very useful horse. The actual difference between him and many others is nothing like as great as the disparity in all their stud fees. yer ma though is most pertinent. There are a lot of cheapies coming out of the woodwork and only the best one or two are going to hit base commercially. Finding those particular needles in an ever increasing haystack is not looking easy.

This is probably a bit of a simplistic way to look at it, but is he high profile enough? I'd forgotten he was even in training this year. I'd say he must get the least publicity of any group class horse in Britain or Ireland. I know Noseda doesn't talk to the media much but I doubt I've ever even heard him refer to him except on his actual race days.
