I am a huge fan of Invincible Spirit and Oasis Dream but they are getting out of my price range now - what do people think of Lawman as a potential successor to his sire? Not sure about Gulch as the broodmare sire but his stock look pretty good and are selling pretty well.
Well, I'll bang my usual drum. He's not really typical of his sire in terms of distance is he. Nor was his sister Latice, so you may be taking on more of his damlone than you would perhaps want? He is a typically overpriced (i.m.o.) Ballylinch horse and I am very aware that he wasn't a superstar either. (Do they move a lot from published fees?) I feel he has a chance, but he wouldn't be a dead cert by any means and not at these prices.

Thanks - that is very helpful - I may not leap in here but watch and see for a while longer on him. Not many stallion sons of IS - not sure why - are they heavy topped and/or temperamental and therefore gelded?
Playing a waiting game on Jeremy also - has a better distaff line but not sure about DD as a sire of sires and, again Jeremy was no world beater.
I have taken a chance on Notnowcato however - may be my heart ruling my head because I love the Ahoonoora line. I am hoping that he takes after his father, who I think would have improved a lot with the better mares he was due to get. A bit like Indian Ridge growing in stature over time but starting off with a reputation for siring solid, sound horses who try hard. He isn't much to look at but his father was neat from memory but not spectacular. He is also a great outcross for my mares which are saturated with Danzig and Northern Dancer. I hope he does well - it would be a shame for the Ahoonoora line to die out.

Inchinor was a loss wasn't he. As you say great attitudes and he would've been one to follow with better mares. Incidentally, I would guess that invincible Spirit still has a bit of a drop in fee due perhaps. I am a big fan too, you get exactly what you should do with him, but I suspect he isn't going to be a Gp1 miler/classic sire and as such he will need to be at a 'commercial' price.
