There was a topic on the horseracing forum about a legendary greyhound called scurlogue champ. He used to drop himself out and even looked to stop chasing the hare on occasion , and then finish with a rattle to get up on the line. Does anyone have any favourite racehorses for quirkyness, grit, courage or any other qualites? I am fairly young so don't have that much to draw from but Joe Lively in the NH scene seems a bit of a fairytale. One question about that was what would the person who bought him for the Tizzards have seen in a horse that was had spent 3 seasons in points with a very poor record? A poor trainer that they thought they could improve him from, good confirmation or would a cheap purchase like that be ever based on a hunch that he might be better than he had shown?Just a feeling on the day after seeing the horse even on a supposodly exposed horse? Or would it be a case of buying similar horses all the time and if you throw enough ****!
