Coolmore Stud stallion King of Kings, whose 2-year-old daughter Paddy's Daisy won a division of the Nov. 26 Miesque Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Hollywood Park, has been relocated to Gestut Sohrenhof in Switzerland after standing six seasons under the Coolmore banner, according to the Racing Post.
Nine-year-old King of Kings (Sadler's Wells--Zummerudd, by Habitat) shuttled regularly between Coolmore satellite Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., and Australia. He stood this year's Southern Hemisphere season at Ashwell Farm in New Zealand.

King of Kings won the 1998 Sagitta Two Thousand Guineas (Eng-I) and was Ireland's champion 3-year-old miler that year. He also was an Irish group I winner at two. He has sired a total of 11 stakes winners.

King of Kings will stand for 6,000 euros (approximately $8,000).

Standing in South Africa now at Somerset Stud.  I have a soft spot for this horse and he wasn't a total right-off in New Zealand as a stallion..but I'm not sure about the assesment below of him...especially the "upgrading his mares remarkably" bit !!

King Of Kings, sure to make his mark in SA.

King Of Kings (by Sadler’s Wells), sired three Group 1 winners and many other Group winners in New Zealand and Australia before being exported to South Africa in 2007. His first locally-produced foals will be seen in action in 2009 and bloodstock expert Mark Tarry tells racingweb.co.za: “King Of Kings upgrades his mares remarkably. If you study the pedigrees of his Group 1 winners, for example, you will see that the dams of those winners threw nothing much else from other stallions.”

This view was borne out by Team Valor’s Barry Irwin, who bought a King Of Kings from Taineberry at the 2009 Yearling Sale, a yearling described as “Taineberry’s best ever foal”.

Tarry feels that the firm going in South Africa will suit King Of Kings progeny. “They were pushed along in Australia and New Zealand and trainers here need to be more patient. I’d rank him up there with the best-bred stallions in the country and his fillies in particular will be good investments.

Top European performer Alexandros, third in the 2009 Dubai Duty Free, is from a King Of Kings mare, which means that the purchase of a King Of Kings filly gives you proven broodmare potential.
