The Thoroughbred Breeders' Association recipient of this year's Devonshire Bronze at the annual awards was the racing Posts breeding columnist Tony Morris.
Must admit I am an avid follower of his column anyone on here read the same?

Love his writing, one of the few who's not afraid of being a bit prickly.
He spends a lot of time on the horses achievements these days though, which we've got a pretty good handle on anyway, maybe slightly at the expense of the actual pedigree talk? |

Reduced to one article a week this summer it seems at the expense of Nancy Sexton's Bloodstock week on a Thursday; which quite frankly is a pale immitation. After a brief improvement, the bloodstock section of the RP has hit an all time low for me lately.

Black Sam Bellamy 30 Jun 10 22:38 Reduced to one article a week this summer I think being a bit 'prickly' especially about one stallion in particular not to mention his barbed comments which you could take two ways about the stallions owners,just sealed his fate and hence his 'sidelined' approach.A great shame,I agree with Black Sam Bellamy Nancy Sextons articles are poor by comparison. |

May have asked this before but the part of his column with the breeding lines and the details - where does that come form? wetherbys?

Did he jump or was he pushed? I sort of assumed that he was a bit older than before and had reduced his workload a bit deliberately?
