Henry I think its perfectly appropriate to eulogise about her. This is Big Brother, one of its integral players, not a BBC2 programme about the Nobel Peace Prize.

You would have thought with all that money she could have found a doctor that would detect she had cancer. How did they miss it for all that time only for Max Clifford's doctor to be the one who diagnosed it? Was it the NHS?

TM, I agree it is amazing it got missed for so long, didn't realise that until tonight.

I'm going to bed now. Beforehand I will say a little prayer for Jade and her victims. (Fair point though Sp) |

idiot thread tbf comparing someone to an evil b*stard that killed 6 million people is beyond stupid and should be banned with immediate effect. It's great to see intelligence is at a high level here. If you can't see the point being made, I suggest you find a teens forum to have an argument on. Fair play, she was one of the most famous house mates, but she was a disgrace on any level when she went in for a celeb one, whether you call it racist or classist (no such word obviously). Max Clifford being part of that whole film made it even more uncomfortable for me. |

Dearie me.
I couldn't stand Jade when she was first in Big Brother, I think she represents all that is wrong with the 'youth' of this country. She was uneducated, aggressive and of loose morals. I didn't find her entertaining I just found her vile. I kept this opinion despite the media trying to convince me she was just a little misunderstood innocent and my opinion was vilified when she went back into CBB and her disgusting bullying behaviour was there for all to see (although I still say jo was worse). She was rightly condemned for her beahviour and lost a lot of her sponsoships that had been attained by the media lies that had promoted her to some sort of icon. Then she becomes terminally ill and all the two faced spychophants crawl out of the woodwork saying she was not so bad really and just a poor misunderstood girl and this made me more angry than Jade ever did. To suddenly change your opinion on someone because they are ill or dying is pathetic and hypocritical. I disliked her when she was alive and I still dislike her now. I take no joy in the fate that befell her and I do not think it was 'karma' as that is also a pathetic point of view, I feel terribly sorry for her two sons and any family she left behind but that does not change what Jade was or what she did. |

Some people indeed PR Of China.
![]() I'm sure when some of these people have lost someone close to them through some form of illness they will be fine when others use that as a moment to have a pop at that person's weaknesses...beggars belief really. |

Glad I've only just come across this thread.
Betfair, do us a favour and get rid of it. Not taking one side or the other here, but discussing someone who has died of cancer in this way is actually rather upsetting. I hope when I go I won't be the subject of messageboard tittle-tattle. |

Completely agree with Kitten and Bossman, I never read this thread until today as it obviously had no relevance to betting. Now Ive read it I wished I hadnt bothered

Not taking one side or the other here You definitely are. I hope when I go I won't be the subject of messageboard tittle-tattle. That depends if you've bullied people consistently at all stages of your life. I find this thread interesting not because of Jade but because of the "feelings" vs "freedom" ie “to talk” vs “to silence”. The "feelings" is definitely the dominant in today's society, but I much prefer the older more masculine ideology. (Just to be feminine for a moment - I find you a thoroughly decent sort Kitten and both of my parents died of cancer, my mother in May, but I'm just trying to be logical here - it helps in this game). Betfair, do us a favour and get rid of it. The occasional thread outside gambling (but led by the gambling event) is often interesting. As gamblers shouldn't we be dispassionate and un-censorious? |

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I always try and speak about the dead with a modicum of respect whatever they've done. They are unable to defend themselves from the grave. I'm getting depressed now.
