The housemates were awoken this morning shortly after 9.30am by an ear splitting alarm. They entered the Living Room to find an office desk...
This morning, Nikki will become a high powered personal assistant to none other then Big Brother Seven’s winner, Pete Bennett. Mr Bennett has a very busy day today and occasionally can be very demanding. To pass her part of the shopping task, Nikki must ensure she completes all of his demands. THE DEMANDS: +To write a column about the Housemates and their week in the House. +To freshly squeeze an orange juice for Mr Bennett +To separate paper clips into colour order +To sharpen 50 blunt pencils +To tidy the Kitchen and Living Room +To make teas and coffees for the House Do you remember the last time Nikki had to write her column? Let's just say she let things get the better of her... Nikki will be provided with a desk which she must sit at unless Pete has ordered her to complete a task that requires her to leave her work station. Nikki has 5 hours to complete her Task. The queen of the tantrum has already termed the task 'unbearable', complained that she doesn't like sitting down all day and exclaimed that she hates taking orders, all this before she has even discovered that she will be working for Pete! As you may well remember, Nikki and Pete were House lovers in series seven but split up soon after the show finished. It will certainly be interesting to see how she reacts and subsequently, how the duo get along... |

This is a Nikki as an alternative to Brian thread, and I'm only here to ruffle some feathers.
 Shame this task won't be shown before the vote tonight, anything that puts nikki in the eviction frame would make me happy. lg I see what you mean about the gambling stable, I find that Swinburn and Osborne are the most difficult trainers to predict, and I very rarely get them right. Krusty Milkshake has quite a decent strike rate for Cumani so scares me a little.
Fahy not bad for his 5 pounds, and I would not be put off the big price of his first mount Masonic Lady in the 2:30, as Mr Haggas (his only representative today) does not treat his visits to Brighton lightly. |

You are right about those two trainers. However, WS in particular knows where he stands with his horses and if they are backed they are usually there or thereabouts. |

I would usually get to hear any stand outs from them Pakey, altho that doesn't mean she's a no hoper as they don't tend to get all that enthusiastic about the lesser quality animals/races.

3.00 race is usually the time I would file under the "leave well alone" category.
Bits of info I have had from WS yard in the past has been "unreliable/unfathomable" suggesting he keeps his cards very close to his chest. |

Thanks squares, will have a little on the Haggas horse anyway as the first time cheekpieces and track may also help a lot. With Tadgh as back up on another who could show a bit of improvement.

If Masonic Lady had got interested a little earlier, it could have been a nice win.
lg, well done spotting the Swinburn horse, it looked like it was a "going" day. Thanks for the info squares, but I'd left again when you posted , I will have to try and stay later during the days, or give you my mobile number.Still can't believe my good fortune with a punt I had on another Haggas horse running at Kempton last night. Had a nice punt at around 14/1, and a decent enough saver on Jack Mitchell's mount as he had ridden the 5:20 at Lingfield and dashed to Kempton for this one ride at 6:45. The Mitchell horse was then backed as if a defeat was out of the question. Anyhoo, the Haggas horse doesn't come out the stalls and gives the rest about 6 lengths of a start, when they get to the final furlong and a half it is still well out the back and Jack Mitchell brings his mount through with a beautifully timed run and is going away from them to take the race, when he lost his balance and almost came out of the saddle, momentarily losing his momemtum. He regains his composure and drives towards the line again, only to be caught by one that was finishing like a steam train, the Haggas horse. It all happened so fast it was unbelievable, I had already settled for the smaller win and was happy enough, and had dismissed the Haggas horse as it was so far out the back. If any of you saw it, you will know what I mean, if not, try to see it if you can. The Haggas newcomer is a few pounds better than that bare result. |

 William Haggas  Calls so far for Picabo coming up at Thirsk in a couple of minutes, and the 2 x Mick Jarvis runners at Kempton (not sure how solid those 2 are tho as the fellow backs the yard's runners a lot). |

He must mean Mitchell squares, though I think he is usually decent enough. He timed that race to perfection and it was a million to one chance that he would lose his balance like that.
squares That is unbelievable information again mate, and even more unbelievable that I had left the house AGAIN when you posted it. I'll get one of them right, and by the law of averages, it will probably be when you are given an unlucky loser.  N1 mate, I hope you did well out of them. |

It doesn't really matter to me now because I have an all green and all equal book (I like to enjoy finals night not worry about trading). However, I would rather Nikki win. In some ways she personifies and embodies the 'opportunity' that was Big Brother better than Brian who I still believe to be a bit of a show pony. I thought Nikki's diary room last night was genuine and I would love to see her face if she won. The fact that she was so accepted would be a fitting climax to a disappointing UBB. Having said this, I suspect she still has more than a bit to do. But I will vote for her. |
