Last night’s Big Brother marathon, featuring the BB11 final and Ultimate BB launch, attracted an average audience of 4.1 million.

The show, which aired between 8pm and 10:50pm, received a 18% viewing share and peaked at 10pm with an impressive 5.1m.  Note: these numbers include viewers who watched on C4+1.

The audience was a marked improvement over last year’s BB10 final rating of just 2.9m and similar to how this year’s Celebrity Big Brother finale rated.

Yesterday’s marathon began at 8pm with 3.2m, but passed the 4m barrier at 9pm, and then broke the 5m mark at 10pm. Josie’s winning moment was watched by 4.3m (19%).

not sure if they take the C4+1 into account

These markets are a minefield

The bloody Christmas one had 3 different possible winners.  Plain

If that was with V!ctor, I believe they settle on BARB figures which I think take a couple of weeks to be published.  BARB came up with 4.89 for launch night, if that helps at all.

The rating markets have become an utter mess.

It's basically due to 90% of the people setting the markets not having a clue about what they should set the line as (there have been some incredible betting oppertunities in ratings markets for years) and not having a clue how they work.

The confussion has come because there are now FOUR different ratings, the media use each one, often without saying which one they are using.

There is:

5 minute peak
15 minute peak
overnight average

All three of them are avalible the next morning and are calculated by BARB

Then BARB also release an 'official rating' about two weeks after every show has aired, this takes into account video recordings ect.

Even more complicated when it comes to channel 4 as they have their own press release which includes C4+1Laugh

Did we ever get the percentage figures for the multi eviction to decide who made it to the Big Brother Final?

I was anxious to see if Steve was close at any stage, or if it was true and he was as much of a dud as everybody else said.

John James 34.2
Corin 20.6
Sam 14.6
Steve 9.8

They might have a war hero in DOI Pakey, so you can latch on to him.

Thanks squares, I was looking for the % of teh votes received by the ones who made it to the final, to see just how much Steve missed out by. I've not been able to find the info anywhere.

Did you see the Haggas horse last night?
Report squares September 4, 2010 9:58 AM BST
I don't think they were given.

No, I didn't but I saw you mention it elsewhere.  N1

I tend not to get involved with evening AW racing unless I hear anything specific as it is all-year round now and just too time consuming, and the racing is sh!t anyway.

It's terrible squares, but it can still pay to follow stats, certain stables and jockey movements.
I always pay attention when the likes of Haggas roles one up at the flapping tracks.

Nothing beats a word from the yard though [;)]
