Terrible idea, Basically the same as 4 to be evicted market.
Corin last matched to be 9th at 22.0 Making it around 5.5 mark, Yet 4 to be evicted market ast matched at 1.6!

its the "If there is an announcement of any change to the established eviction procedure" that is the problem...
the fact that tonights first evictee wasn't the highest % vote...

The percentages do not come in to consideration with regards to this market. Regardless if the first person evicted Friday has the least/most voting percentage. The top of the rules located to the right state 'Who will be the NINETH housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 11?'
The market will be settled on whoever is the 9th person evicted from Big Brother 2010. Jo was evicted last week, therefore being the 8th evictee. I would therefore state that the first person evicted this Friday night would be considered the 9th evictee. Please also take in to considering the remainder of the rules located to the right.
This market will be suspended at 11.59pm on Sunday 15th August 2010. The market will then be re-opened with unmatched bets cancelled once an official announcement has been made in relation to the nomination process.
This market will be turned in-play at the start of any scheduled eviction show with unmatched bets cancelled. The market will then be suspended when voting lines close. Customers are entirely responsible for their positions at all times.
Any departure other than by public vote will not count as an eviction for the purpose of this market. If there is an announcement of any change to the established eviction procedure or any ambiguity as to who is voted off, then Betfair reserves the right to void this market at its absolute discretion. Subsequent events would NOT affect the result of this market.
If there is no eviction during a scheduled eviction show, the market will be reopened at the end of the show with unmatched bets cancelled and the time delay removed. If for any reason a scheduled eviction show is cancelled or postponed, then this market will remain open and all bets will be settled once the relevant eviction has been

I didn't bet on the market so makes little difference to me but the sensible thing to do is void it. Specials markets can be dodgy at the best of times with insider betting so voiding will give some of us a little more confidence in betting on these type of markets when the markets rules show there was a "change to the established eviction procedure",

Regardless of the email GB, the rules state that if there is any change to the standard eviction procedure then they will void...
You can't deny what happened wasn't a change to the standard eviction procedure, it clearly was.

it still amazes me after 11series full of twists, betting certainties being turned over and untold amounts of people crying fix due to this...that people are still backing a gameshow that has no set rules...only urselves to blame if u get in deep and blows up in ur faces

The crew knew all day that Steve was 1st out I've been told via text just now. Amazed they didn't get more on tbh, probably didn't know how it would be settled, we still don't. The email makes it seem like they'll pay out on Steve, they should pay out on the highest %.

Surely this has to be void or JJ treated as a winner. If bb knew early today that they would be evicting steve first i would argue that bets placed after that on anyone could never have won.

Betfair can just claim they voided it due to insiders... easy for them.
And to be fair, that's enough reason alone for the market to be voided - let alone with all this mess too.

I'm with you on this Majoroak, I did exactly the same.
"If there is an announcement of any change to the established eviction procedure or any ambiguity as to who is voted off, then Betfair reserves the right to void this market at its absolute discretion. Subsequent events would NOT affect the result of this market."
No mention of anybody being evicted with the most votes ! I didn't hear any ANNOUNCEMENT about a change, and there was no ambiguity about who was voted off .....Steve was definitely 9th out.
Well peed off

People only see what they want to see in the wording of the rules.
Steve wasn't voted 9th out but he was evicted 9th out.
That's ambiguous, so Betfair had the right to void at their discretion.

I backed Steve to be 9th out and woke up this morning feeling hard done by, but looking at the bigger picture, if some insider trading did take place (and i'm sure it did) then it is a good decision, just hope it dont give Betfair the rope to make decisions like this if if dont suit them.
