I'm sure I'm being thick here, but does anyone understand this market?  Are we betting on who the four to go are?  If so, how come some of the selections only include 2 or 3 housemates?  Confused

You can win by selecting 3 correct names out of the 4.
Report Topper Robson August 16, 2010 8:30 PM BST
As I understand it its eviction accas. Doubles, Trebles and Fourfolds the Quad refers to the amount of evisctees. The last one theyve added an additional Steve by mistake.
Report dougs August 16, 2010 8:59 PM BST
So for example, if the evictees happened to be jj1 steve dave corin in any order
Then these 4 selections would all win:
DAV / JOH / STE
DAV / JOH
JOH / STE
DAV / STE
and all the other choices would all lose.
Have I got that right?
Report jack12321 August 16, 2010 9:02 PM BST
Yes, I believe so.
Report Topper Robson August 16, 2010 9:05 PM BST
Any other combo would also win.
Report dougs August 16, 2010 9:16 PM BST
How so? I was thinking AO only wins if none of the specified selections win, which would not be true in the above example as 4 would win.
Report Topper Robson August 16, 2010 9:26 PM BST
It would win because Corins gone, the scenarios which detail 4 would all have lost. But its possible that the doubles ans trebles could also be successful as well as any other.
Report Cider August 16, 2010 9:31 PM BST
AO loses in that scenario. It only pays out if none of the listed combos prove correct. imo. There's nothing to say it only relates to the fourfold.

ok thanks guys Happy
Report jack12321 August 16, 2010 9:38 PM BST
I assumed AO would be voided.... having AO makes no sense on this market.
Report GeorgeBrush August 16, 2010 9:39 PM BST
Clear as mud innit
Report Topper Robson August 16, 2010 9:43 PM BST
See which way youre seeing it Cider it does look very vague. Honestly dont know that one.
Report Cider August 16, 2010 9:51 PM BST
Yep AO not needed as effectively they are individual lines. I suspect they've put it in as they can't list all eventualities, to cover an unlikely scenario of a 'winner' not being listed.

Report dougs August 22, 2010 8:48 PM BST
how was AO settled in the end? did it win because corin evicted?
Report Cider August 22, 2010 9:26 PM BST
AO was settled as a winner so someone got me cash, well done whoever it was! Effectively got 4-5 on Corin being evicted. At least Topper drew.
Report Topper Robson August 22, 2010 9:32 PM BST
