I thought Steve possibly could, but they're handing him chances to shine and he's just not taking them.
JJ2 is exactly the same - his best bits are likely to be the worst of all time - they can't even fill the out with various clips of him laughing/having fun/ expressing any kind of emotion like they normally do with the boring ones - as he just pulls the same vacant expression 24/7.

Can't see how yet crab, all he had to do was avoid the vote to evict polls and reach the vote to win stages to give him a chance.
