It's getting a bit monothought on here, that's for sure.
I think there's still a long way to go. The JJJ relationship always needed testing, and that's exactly what's happening. They will either emerge from it stronger, or not at all, but it needed doing.
Meanwhile, the odds-on fave has been emotionally tested only once so far (the JJ meltdown). These things matter in the final week imo.

dj - many of these tweets are from people who previously liked Josie and the whole JJJ thing.
They're not DS obsessives and cynics.

It's not balsamic. There's a lot of banter, and provocative/OTT stuff written for entertainment too. If we all have to sit through the series, as well as hoping to make a tidy profit, I for one want to make sure it's as fun as possible. But the views I express, are backed up by a long-term view of how I genuinely see it shaping up.
2/3 weeks ago Corin was out to 10s or whatever it was and I was echoing fll in stating on here that for me she was standing out as the nicest HM in there. And I was seeing some pretty unlikeable traits in Josie that appear to have since come home to roost.
Still a way to go...

Balsamic I like hearing from you and dj, the forum works best with all viewpoints. But I think the anti JJJ comments here are reaction rather than action.

What I mean is that JJJ has been built up to be Romeo and Juliet by many viewers, when clearly it isn't, JJ1 has been completely asexual. BB viewers are not normally so irrational (but they are changing now). Gamblers have to believe in, and seek for, objective reality, annoyance at the feminine illogicality of the viewers and annoyance at the unclear motivations of JJJ is natural.

jr, with respect, i'd check back through your postings on the last few pages of the live feed thread. I can't see much humour and entertainment in your relentless attacks on JJ. The seriousness of it all makes me wannna stop reading it

It's reporting back on the live feed and entering into debate with others - what forums are about. I've said, by all means post a counter view of proceedings and I will consider it. You are starting to sound like someone getting very nervous holding a big green on JJ.
I would recommend reading the Specials forum over a period of time, get a feel for the forumites who consistently have insightful contributions to make, and appear to know their sh*t, and then make up your own mind. I know my own track record and it's a very good one but feel free to ignore my observations.

Henry, good post. However, the problem is that I think a lot of views expressed on here are actually the personal opinions of (secret) BB fans combined with some serious book-talking, rather than any objective gambling attempts to tap into the 'feminine illogicality of the viewers'

for the first time today they really focused on how much time they spend together and using the other HMs to put accross that point of view. Don't think it was a good show for Josie think its now a clear 2 horse race between Corin and JJ. Corin a deserved favourite because theres a huge unknown about what JJ would do if Josie went which is now a decent possibility. He could walk or it could push him over the line.

Think JJs support will hold up because he is being shown as more light hearted on the highlights (how he interacts with Sam for example) wheras Josie is being shown as someone that either spends her time in bed with JJ or arguing and getting wound up by Sam.

No, I didn't like him much then, that was really early on. I started backing him around 15's when i saw that he had more to him (vulnerability, sensitivity, low self-worth) than the vast majority of good looking male BB HMs who have a poor record on the show (see:JJ2).

He was a good trade at 15's and he could (and probably will) win this thing. I agree that he has more about him then the vacuous good looking males that we've had down the years but he's as weak as water and a spineless mummy's boy who is terrified of women.

Whilst I don't think he has the brains to "play the game", his as yet refusal to confront Sam over his treatment of Josie leads me to think that a) he thinks Sam is popular and doesn't want to get on the wrong side of him or b) he's scared to say anything to defend "his Jose" in case the fella rips him to shreds.

I also think that the tweets were not that bad against jjj, as you have to expect a level of anti to level things around. Josie is currently centre stage in the show, and a lot will depend on how th public see her response to Sam.
My thoughts are that they will either tire of his incessant wind up of Josie (if he continues it), or he will move onto another target.

As stated before, I think that as loveable as she is, Corin would certainly give him an awful lot of ammunition to work with.

I think the problem is for Sam is that although people are understandably happy to see someone go in and stir things up a bit, the essential unfairness of the situation is starting to come through.
To have a little s*d like Sam come in late, having watched the show, and deliberately and persistently target one individual isn't what most viewers see as "the BB way", at least after they've had time to think after the initial excitement.

For me, he's just picking the low-hanging fruit right now. He really needs to show a bit of imagination and positivity in the next week to become a runner. I gather he's showing a little more today, which is good, but I can't see him as anything more than an irritant for now.

Agreed balsamic. Sam needs to up his game to become a real quality HM; 'irritant' is the word. He needs to take note from Bea - she was thunder and lightning. Sam's just a light shower.

Her price hasn't really moved.
I think there's an assumption, a wrong one imo, that if JJ loses support or is even evicted that Josie will pick up all or nearly all of his vote.
That may have been the case a couple of weeks ago, but not now.

i think the assumption is that she'll do a whole lot better without JJ there - that was probably the reason for her small drop in price this afternoon when JJ looked like he was imploding.

also, although she has lost some support, i think a lot of casual support has actually hardened for her due to Sam's introduction

figgy I think people are hoping that we will get a return to the early Josie without the baggage of John James, not necessarily that she will pick up all of his poll support.  We saw new improved versions of Sophie when Kris went and of Lisa when Mario was evicted.  Sophie won and imho Lisa would have won had she survived the  eviction against Sara where she narrowly went.

I agree she wasa much better HM and a potential winner before JJ, but for me it's too late now.
There will be 14 days til the lines open for the vote, if JJ goes on friday, which I think is still unlikely.
That's not enough time for her to recover her vote, even if she immediately sprang into life and was as warm and funny as she could be in the early weeks.

As for Lisa, she was a bitch at the start, but that subsided after mario and Luke went and she became an amusing HM in the 2nd half of the series.
Someone who was also willing to stand up and give Rex what for.
