Maiaze I'll tell you how to see past the whale: nobody has ever won BB if their negative polling approached their positive polling. Her negative polling surpasses her positive polling.
The was quite witty in her first 3 weeks, but I think she was just operating on make-an-effort-in-new-environment mode.

cheers henry up yo yet last two weeks i havent really seen the negative side to her. Will keep an eye on her though as only back ed corin up to yet. Corin 6.39 £114.00 £614.92 I really wanted to back a male in this years contest as i thought it would be a mans year after two female winning years however i dont rate any of the males in there at all.

yeh henry my sister in law said he was a bit of a perv early on but hes a possible with a bit of momentum going in to the last few weeks. From what ive seen of him in the last two weeks he comes across well whereas i cant see the appeal in jj for me hes a pretty boy yes but hasnt really got a massive personality unlike josie and of course our stoke girl corine. By the way has much been said in the house yet regarding her ex husbands death ?

I haven't heard it on HL's but she has mentioned it on LF. She is supposed to be in a lesbian relationship which makes her salivating after JJ2 a bit of a problem.
As for Steve: this is the last few weeks of a 3 month show, nobody has won from his position before. He's a bearable individual because he's so quiet and pleasant most of the time but often when he shows emotion it's not very nice, maybe we could guess that from his total body tats, his black glass eye. His first wife and half his kids (from her) don't speak to him.

I always like to hear views that oppose mine. She's not without some virtue. People who watch some LF would have seen bitching and jealousy, people who only see HL's wouldn't have seen much, and people who started watching half way through many not have seen much bad about her at all. And the voters will be mainly from the latter two groups.
It's all about timing with the wrong'uns, will their flaws be obvious to the majority in time?
I much prefer Josie though.I always like to hear views that oppose mine. She's not without some virtue. People who watch some LF would have seen bitching and jealousy, people who only see HL's wouldn't have seen much, and people who st
I don't see what's so bad about being jealous. I've certainly been it. I'm sure we all have in our lives. She confided in Keeva how much she liked John James and after JJ told Keeva he didn't look at her that way, Keeva should have stayed with her and make sure she wasn't feeling too humiliated. Instead she spent less time with Josie and more and more time with JJ. I can see why Josie felt let down by her. As for the idea DS have about Josie turning the whole house against Keeva. Keeva was going to walk with Shabby 2 or 3 weeks prior to that because these were not the sort of "cool" people she hung around with in the real world. Keeva did a perfectly fine job of isolating herself in that house by constantly looking down her nose at others, believing they were fake, because they didn't act like her. DS. I believe, were looking for a new villain, and Josie being the only girl with a personality and a bit of an edge about her was the one they went for. DS in particular because they think everything is a "fauxmance". Those people mistake cynicism for intellectual sophistication.
Josie has always been the girl you'd happily go for a pint with. When she's up and about she's still good fun and makes me laugh. Corin on the other hand is just vacuous. She's there to lend a shoulder to cry on or give someone a hug, and that's all lovely, but beyond that she's someone with more catchphrases than personality. I don't see why Josie, a single girl, being under a duvet cover with a single guy, is causing more uproar than Corin essentially dumping her girlfriend on television, first for Nathan, and now for a boring git like JJ2. She took her diary room ignore task in good spirit, and I can see how that has endeared her to people, but the other times she's in the diary room, asking BB what they think, when she knows full well BB don't answer those questions seems so contrived and just irritates me. And if I hear her (a 29 year old woman - who looks older) say someone "Iz fit" once more I'll rip my own ears off.

Josie is hardly brimming with warmth TM - I'd suggest Corin has far greater compassion. I find Josie rather pitiful TM - to cling to a guy the way she has done, and the irrational jealousy/borderline psychotic outbursts when she doesn't get her way... not just incredibly insecure, but very self-centred, immature and unhinged for a woman of her age. Obviously, it's not just her who has cordoned herself, John James and gimp boy off from the others, but it is incredibly conceited behaviour by all 3 of them, and conversations about 'I'm not interested in the others/I hope we're the final 3' just shows her and the other 2 up for creating such a clique when they have very, very little to say for themselves and are generally devoid of any great charisma.

TM I watched a lot of LF at the time you're talking about and it was when I firmly went off Josie. She went around the whole house turning everybody against Keeva, at the same time as smiling and being friendly to Keeva. During this time Keeva would even support her when others were b1tching about her behind her back. However none of it made HL's.
However what even the casual viewer can see is that there is something not right about her - her constant false laughter, her anger about about how she is being portrayed when JJ1 cries (rather than worrying about him), her constant false modesty "Men have never been interested in me" etc, the very relationship itself is weird.
Doesn't make her an evil person, just one who can't win imo.

As someone who likes to keep his problems to himself, rather than cry on a persons shoulder, I couldn't really care less if Corin is the more compassionate. I just know I'd get on better with Josie than her. And I think you overstate the case against her JR, albeit in your wonderfully vitriolic style.

Josie has positives but her biggest downfall imo is that she thinks the universe revolves around her. This trait makes her a very unlikely winner imv.
Corin is far from bullet proof, there's a steely determination about her which is exposed from time to time, and she obviously plays up to the cams. I don't know anything about her really, the 'real' Corin that is not the bb one.

To be honest i would have never picked corin out as the winner just by her looks but as soon as she opens her mouth and that wonderful stoke on trent dopey thick as fook accent comes out then she looks all over the winner.

ha, ha - just read that story squares after your tip off - seething doesn't even begin to describe… Given the RATM campaign, I'm hopeful this is the beginning of the end for the master puppeteer - but more likely his empire will simply grow bigger. Endless, dreadful cover versions of overblown power ballads sung by fame-seeking wannabees - I may give up the will to live before Christmas. Cowell's creative contribution to modern pop culture is on a par with Hiroshima bombs knock on effect on sunbed sales.

Nice to have you back maiaze It appears I am against the crowd yet again, and you seem to have the same sort of thoughts as myself regarding Josie and Steve.
I think too many underestimate Steve's chances and the pull he will have with the first time/casual viewers who only come on at the end to have a vote in the final. Also his hero status and the "one of us" vote he will get from the armed forces and their families.
He may be vulnerable in a negative vote as many have pointed out, but he will be very dangerous if he makes it to the positive vote towards the end.
Mrs P loves Josie, as do I. I like Corin but think she has the potential to be another Kat with her thick act.
Theres more of my b0llox on the Is it cos I is thick thread.
Nice to have you back mate
Go Steve and Josie.

I just got back from me holidays on a cruise pakey paid for by mincey ice skating !!!! happy days. So decided to leave bb until i got back of holiday so similar to you i like the same josie and steve. As for corin i was a bit lucky as i asked fll oppinion as soon as i got back and he pointed her out as she was still around 8s i got on. I personally dont see her annoying side ie katt so still happy to keep topping up. But i wouldnt like to be red on steve as hes the only male danger i see possible. Good luck with your bets Pakey and i read your thread after having the same thoughts as you and backing him.

Is that the same mincer that we were told we were wasting our money on when backing him at 40/1?
Got Steve for top male as well at lovely prices maiaze, still available at 8.5 i think. I can only see John James as a possible contender at the moment.
best of luck mate

From your statement, it would appear that you already know the result, now that is shrewd. Are you going to give us the benefit of your wisdom now, or wait until afterwards and tell us you knew all along?

Who would've thought it, JJ1 is the only one who can beat Rapey Steve to be Top Male.
Here's me thinking that Mario and Dave were in with a shout...

Just goes to show you how opinions vary Selkirk, I can't see Mario or Dave anywhere near being either of the top two males in there. Mario has become creepy over time, and Dave has always been creepy.
My original thought was that Steve does not really have to beat that much in order to be top male, and at 10.0-11.0ish it was very good value.

I've looked at it again Selkirk and still can't see the context I'm missing. Apologies if it's me being thick again, any chance of explaining the context to me.

That would mean that you agree that Steve's Top Male price was too generous Selkirk?
You have to forgive me as I am sometimes a little slow.

Well the polling changed straight after I said that and this 4 way has rather chucked a spanner in the works.
I still she'd be the most undeserving winner ever, and I think Corin's chances are underrated. But you tipped both of them didn't you, you smug git.

Looking back, I backed Josie and on here from 8.4 to 6.8, and also got on at the hs. I stopped after that, iirc I think because her price quickly fell to 4s (ah how those days of 4s seem now). But it was just saver bets really. Good lord that's just over a week ago, it seems another era.
I remained a non-fan of Josie throughout though, although I have warmed more to her more recently (as I suppose voters may have). I still find her fundementally negative (as I think many other voters might still feel).
Corin or Sam are excellent results for me. But now there's a chance I might have wasted 3 months, and I think of all the important things I've put off doing.
Oh well, life goes on.
