Hi Pakey.
You surely must like the new JJ ;-) I think you're miles out with Steve. 8 weeks and zero impact. In big danger this week, and very unlikely to improve if he stays Josie you are spot on, a very 'big' runner still. We must recognize she's currently in danger of eviction though. It's a risky punt, but a damned sight better than Steve imo |
|
By:
Hi George, new JJ no good to me either, if they had put in a real normal bloke like a window cleaner, then he may have shone amongst these, ahem, slightly different types. Then again, Josie is my Miss ordinary
![]() I realise Steve could go this week, but if he doesn't, then his price looks very good value to me. I want to see the public reaction to the hard man melting when they show the videos from home. I honestly disagree about Steve having no impact as I have felt a lot of the time he has been the grounded voice in there, without having sides to his personality. We shall see though, but feel that this has been a fantastic BB so far. |

Hi pakey
I think steve will win the save and replace this week, the others dont seem bothered enough to win. If he doesnt he will be out Having reluctantly paid for the live feed i just cant see how they can edit him into a winning spot He seems really uncomfortable in there and does nothing worthy of any HL show. His wife goes in sometime this week as part of a task, but the task is that he has to ignore her. That could be interesting as he seems to be missing her bad Josie i like, very funny, but theres a side to her thats just not right. Corin at the moment seems a completely different clas to these bunch of mongrels |
|
By:
I just don't get Corin as I feel that the public will see through her thick as Jade routine. Then again, I thought they would see through Pete and Brian Belo[smiley:crazy]
Seriously though, I can't see the women identifying themselves with Corin. I'd see dave going before Steve as I find him irritating, he seems to give off an "I'm superior to you lesser beings" aura IMO. Drunk on the lord my @rse |
|
By:
Certainly, but I think there's a head of steam that wants rid of Steve
Unless Josie gets put up, or he wins S&R he's a big favourite to go |
|
By:
Looks like I'll be losing more money on the eviction market then George, and I don't usually play the evictions as I have always been hopeless at them.

For those interested, it seems strange that the first and third favourites are women, but you can back a female winner for small amounts between 2.38 and 2.54.
I'm off out to visit me probation officer now, I mean, I'm off out to enjoy the weather. Have a good one |

Steve for Top Male at 11.0 was very unexpected, but very much appreciated. I'm just in and guessing from the odds Steve's not involved in the eviction shake up, bonus.
More time to focus on the big guy, and hopefully one step closer to the home videos. Have I missed much? |

It would not be the first time I was wrong about something armagnac, and it certainly would not be the last.
Not sure if I am wrong yet though, and very happy with current position after waiting so long to get involved. |

By:
shame you was'nt about from the start, i have a feeling there is some very decent greens screen out there..mine is ok for an amatuer
|

I would have backed both Steve and Josie at much shorter, so definitely glad I was not around.
Would probably have been happy to have Steve at around 7.0 in the outright, so getting him at three times that price, and 11.0 for top male is making me moist. I would possibly have dabbled on ben as he had the possibilty of ataining cult status, but he has been in self destruct mode for a little while now. I could not have had any of the rest with somebody else;'s money. The old hands on here who know how to play the game will be sitting with green. |

josie was a steal at 13 ish from week 1 to trade, very funny from the off...not anymore though, to loved up
|

Hi PAKEY,
Just a bit concerned by your timing really. Steve really was a high risk punt. He's saved himself this week - but it was a seat of the pants job. Josie - well she is marmite defined. Love her or hate her - no middle ground. I was a big green on Ben earlier on, but my book is level now. Concentrating on the eviction markets where I'm doing quite well. GL with your bets mate. |
|
By:
Hi Kitten, hope you are well mate.
I honestly think that the further Steve goes, the harder he will be to beat, and that the only one with the possibility of doing it is Josie. Unless the geek gets cult status. Nice to hear you are green. Get Kat Out etc |
|
By:
You're flogging a dead horse as far as Rapey Steve is concerned but it's your money.
Good luck. |
|
By:
Thanks selkirk, been told I was flogging a dead horse many times in the past. That's probably why most of my winners have originally been backed at odds in the twenties and thirties, while others were backing the supposed good thing favourites.
best of luck to you also, who is your money on? |
|
By:
Steve (and Dave) are extreme red for me. Where do you think Steve's votes will come from Pakey? He's been a non housemate except for a few times (Keeley) where he came across as a jealous, slightly nasty perv.
|
|
By:
Hi Henry
If he keeps his head under the radar and gets to the final stages, we will hear a lot more about his past and how he managed to lose his legs while serving his country. I think his will be the biggest impact if the family videos from home are shown, as he is the apparent rock/tough guy in there. As stated previously, he will most definintely have the forces and their families voting for him as he is one of their own, and a hero.(we are fighting on two fronts at the moment) On the finals nights, the viewing is bolstered by an awful lot of first timers and casual viewers, who would also be swayed (IMO) by a vote for the forces hero who made the massive sacrifice for his country, against the A N Other who is in these shows year after year. It will not take much editing to put him in a good light or create a sympathetic vote, which is the angle that Endemol will come from (again IMO) It's him and the frumpy, ordinary bird that the rest of the female population can identify with all the way for me. |
|
By:
The housemates dressed as brides makes the edit tonight I think, Steve in a wedding dress and his reaction should make a bit of an impact.
|
|
By:
Steve's price suggests others may think along your lines Pakey. But I can't remember a worse poller - TIBB, DS - Favourite: 0.8%, 0.6% - Least Favourite: 16.5%, 17.8%.
He has been an extremely poor housemate. Endemol, who are continuing BB on Five, wouldn't give him any favours. He would have to rely on a campaign of non viewers, however I guess anything's possible, that's why it's good to discuss it. Bez had VOTE BEZ banners in ManU (although he was well known). |
|
By:
Would Steve really make a good standard bearer for the armed forces? He's no Simon Weston is he?
|
|
By:
You probably knowmy thoughts on Digital Spy and their history of accuracy (or innaccuracy)in these markets Henry.
I firmly believe he picks up the floating voter who just tunes in because it is the finals night, but I could be talking nonsense again. These discussions help us all to determine our positions and it's always nice to read the views of others. |
|
By:
He probably fits the bill of an average squaddie bunny, but regardless of our thoughts, he will be considered one of their own in the ranks.
|
|
By:
Can't agree on either of these 2 Pakey.
Steve just too dull and many find him pervy. Josie an awful self obsessed, manipulative fishwife with an appalling cackle of a laugh. If her or psycho boy win this, then it's time to pack my bags and go. |
|
By:
Promise to write fll
No worries mate, it's healthy for us to disagree |
|
By:
I can't have her psycho boy either fll, and would be quite happy if he went earlier than expected.
I'm excited now as they are mentioning messages from home if they win the task. Only one winner in that scenario for me, that's our forces hero. The hard man melting will go down well. You must have loved Corin being flanned in the diary room last night, it helped her cause a lot. |
|
By:
Don't waste your money Pakey. Can you imagine the messages from his pack of unwashed, stinking chav offspring?
It's hardly going to endear him to the public. This is the last time I will tell you- he CANNOT WIN. |
|
By:
Hi Pakey
The problem for Steve is the show is on Ch4; your line 'There will not be a servicemans family in the country who will not try to help the war hero across the finishing line at the end' might well apply to an ITV viewing audience, but not a Ch4 one. As for Josie, I've got her small green for all the reasons you say. Just can't see her winning tho. This is between John James and Corin imo. Good luck tho, as always. PS Rachel is the value if you can get 90+ [;)] |
|
By:
For what its worth pakey i totally agree with your two ( but ive only watched the last two weeks ) decided this year to get into bb late on.

Hi deejay
The services have their own newsletters, magazines and online forums where I would imagine that one of their own in any sort of national competition would be a topic of conversation, the fact he suffered such a loss while serving would help him no end. Thanks Selkirk, but I'm a stubborn idiot when I think I'm onto something. Check out the stats for previous series maiaze, and you will see the difference in the week in week out total audience figures compared to the last night/s. The new viewer can have a very big say in this, and have a completely different take on the show to the die hards. The edit towards the end will also determine a lot of views, and I can't see the putting the boot into Steve. |
|
By:
Well the market eventually seems to be waking up to our Josie, and if he avoids the negative vote, our Steve will be sure to follow.

Our Josie
now favourite, all it takes is a little push from the edit team and Stevo will come in all guns a blazin.am buzzin and luvvin it at the same time |

That Male/Female market is just strange or unwatched.
Just as when Corin was short priced fav and Josie third fav, you could back a female winner at odds against, now that Sam has hardened as favourite, you can back a male winner at odds against. Not for a lot, but it's there if anybody wants it. |

All gone very quickly, just like last time I put the notice up.
Not one thank you, whatever happened to manners? ![]() |

Oi got a brrrrran new cambine arrrvesterrr, oill give you the key.
Apologies, should read Oi gor a brrrran new grrreen scrrrreen in the outright, it's fillin me with glee ![]() And all off the back off Josie at 2.6ish, will hopefully make it greener when Stevo's price drops. Totally luvvin the markets at the moment, John James and Sam the two favourites to be evicted next, and yet they are both the favourites for Top Male .While big Stevo is still backable at about 8.0. |

10/1 if anyone can get on.
