The secret of LOSING on BB is to lock onto one housemate and stick with them come what may.

I have watched every series Selkirk and it was pervy steve in the sitting romm with his false leg. Oh no it was Corin in the bathroom with the nail varnish remover. Oh sheet youre right I havent a feckin clue.

Kitten I'm well aware of how to lose big on BB but I've seen countless posters on here nailing their colours to a HM then changing their minds after two bad edits, then backing them again (figuratively speaking).

I don't believe that any of you have a big enough bank to trade HM's on a daily basis and come out with much more than pennies.

If it's a bit of fun you are after, then fine but I refuse to believe that anyone here makes any serious money out of BB after reading the posts on a daily basis.

Believe what you want mate, but no need to post total a lot of carp.

The key to this is changing your mind just before the rest of the punters do Selkirk.

And obviously laying anyone that fails the Dick Emery test

i'll give you an example by telling you all my activities.

ive been using a 3.5k bank
apart from 1 week where i made a stupid sell off coz i was'nt gonna bother trading anymore i have traded non-stop.
probably half of my trades have gone wrong and had to red out.

now even with all these fu ck ups im in this position:

i could zero the field and have a 3k green on corin, just over 400 guaranteed.

not bad considering this my 1st effort at trading a special market, and it kills time between doing the footy. now i should imagine someone using a much larger bank and has a good overall knowledge of how to trade BB could times my figure by 10 at least, maybe 20

I take a long term view of these things and don't panic after one bad edit. I also know pretty much from the start who doesn't have a hope of winning or who are false favs/market leaders.

The only one that would make a large dent in my bank balance should he win, is the Aussie cry baby.

I wish I had your vision and confidence. I change my mind constantly, but hopefully by the end of the show I have my chips in the right place.  Its stood me well so far - I have made decent money from every series of BB since 2004, but I'm not confident enough to think I have all the answers and I'm well aware that every series could be my first losing one.  If you've unlocked the secret formula to guaranteed profits fair play to you, but no need to sneer at us lesser mortals.

You've missed the point.

I'm not sneering at anyone losing money, I'm laughing at some of the posts on here. The constant changing of minds and the backing of hopeless candidates from Day 1 is a sight to behold.

On these pages I've seen people saying Keeva/Shabby/Steve/Keely/Andrew can win. At times I think BF BB forumites have a) never watched a series of BB before or b) have dubious tastes in a person's character.

Now if you'd said that in the first place Selkirk... ;-)

I've spent 7 summers doing little other than watching Big Brother and I still think Andrew can win.  Trouble is that you can pretty much write off everyone this year, but someone has to win.  So reading between the lines, the only potential winners in your view this year are Josie, Ben, Corin, Mario, Dave, Rachel and AO. 

Big Brother contestants don't instantly unveil their charactors, it comes out slowly, so its inevitable that views change.  There are 1 or 2 forummites who go from "JJ is the worst person in the world" to "JJ is the only possible winner" instantly.  If you are referring to them then I'd agree with you, but I don't think they are representative of the wider forum. 

If you are able to decide from the off who can/can't win and not need to adjust your views as we learn more about then, then mister you're a better man than I.
