I think he's probably in the 'Jonty' sort of category - he isn't good looking enough to get any votes that way, but he may be appealing enough in other respects - could well trade shorter, but yet again, at the mercy of the edit as to whether that happens even.

My main worry pre-entrance was arrogance, which doesn't seem to be there.

His youth and possible naivety are big plus points, as whilst he ain't hot, he could be perceived as "cute" if he behaves in the right way. Also has insecurities about his character and how he is with people, perhaps making him more endearing.

Entertainment could stem from his evident social awkwardness and could garner sympathy if some hms take the p**s out of him behind his back. It will probably be Ben (unfortunately as I like him), as I don't think Ben likes someone who is more intelligent than him on paper being in there.

Certainly has a lot of potential in this rubbish field.

I backed at 25`s when he arrived and I still think he is EXCELLENT value at 15`s and have topped up on him.

Andrew: 'I'm a loner on the outside'

Andrew has been opening up to Mario about his life on the outside world.

Earlier this evening, the pair had a heart-to-heart in the nest. Andrew admitted that he doesn’t know many people on the outside world and that his friends would probably describe him as "funny, awkward, shy and a bit of a loner".

"I just feel if people get to know me they just won’t like me," he commented.

Mario said that intelligent people often have difficulty with "social adaptation and social interaction", adding: "I think especially if you are here to the end you will leave this place a completely different person."

"I hope so, I hope so," replied Andrew.

Mario told the 19-year old student that life for him was difficult at his age because he was still coming to terms with his sexuality. "I would never want to go back to my teens again," he said.

Andrew added that he hopes they both stay in until the end. Mario agreed that it would be "awesome", and vowed never to pick him during the 'Save & Replace' task if the opportunity arose.

Think Mario befriending Andrew could be a good move for his chances of winning.

Still very early days, but he does seem a genuinely nice lad with a witty turn of phrase, in a house with little humour and even fewer genuinely nice people.

Unless something big happens with him (cue Mario perhaps) I still can't see him winning this.
(I haven't layed him incidentally - but didn't back either, obviously wrong from a trading perspective.)

He'll need something strong enough to overcome both being a latecomer and not having an obvious female support - younger demographic voting IMO these days. Otherwise, he'll have his fans, but not a real fanbase to win.
