Seems to be personable, nice, genuine, caring, ditzy but at the same time down to earth and sensible with more than a hint of vulnerability. Perhaps a composite of BB9 Lisa and CBB4 Chantelle. Ive a nice position on her already but Ive left a bit more up untill the morning if anyone disagrees.

Not too impressed with the way she has effectively finished with her long term girlfriend on tv.  What impact if any might this have on her chances?
Report bunnyman August 4, 2010 10:15 AM BST
I have found this post on DS which pretty much reflects how I feel about it.  Any Corin fans feel this is overly harsh?

"Corin came into the BB house and answered everyone's questions re her sexuality.

Yes, I am a lebian, she said.
Yes, I was married, she said.
Yes, I have a long term girlfriend, she said.
Yes, we have been together for over 5 years, she said.

She let everyone know how she and her girlfriend were good together, how she had supported her through thick and thin and also described how her girlfriend had been her rock completely as she 'Came Out' to her family.

All in all, Corin painted a perfect happy picture.

From what I gather, she has now jumped into bed with the immature looking JJ2, and fumbled about under the bedsheets getting up to who knows what.

Not a care in the world for the long term girlfriend now.

If Corin were this really nice, caring person that her fans go on about......then she would have done the decent thing and waited until she saw her girlfriend to establish where their relationship was at before making eyes at Nathan and JJ2........its only since she 'fancied' Nathan did she begin to say that things werent so happy at home after all......isnt that convenient for you Corin?"

no seriously there is issue's here, as ive said on the other thread i think its down to the attension she is getting in the house...her confidence has grown massively.
without make-up we would wee a totally different corin.

its obvious to say that her partner on the outside has helped her with getting over her dead husbund and reassuring her she has, as much beauty on the inside as the outside.
Report armagnac August 4, 2010 10:27 AM BST

Report five leaves left August 4, 2010 10:55 AM BST
Not really fair, no.

I'm not sure where those quotes are from, as from the 1st week or so, she said she thought her girlfriend would cheat on her and seemed fairly unconcerned about it.
She said it was a relationship full of arguments and she was happy to have time away from it.
She also says in her profile that her next relationship would be with a man.

So hardly the loving relationship that the person in that thread is trying to suggest it is.

It's an interesting and not particularly welcome development though, that certainly throws a huge spanner in the works.
We shall see how it plays out.

LOL, I wouldn't say that GB.

Jo maybe 1.8 ;)
Report five leaves left August 4, 2010 11:13 AM BST
Just to add, I've always seen her as someone who is predominantly straight, but after the devastating loss of her husband found solace and comfort in a relationship with a woman.
Possibly because a relationship with a woman meant, in her mind, she wasn't being disloyal or disrespecting the memory of her late husband.
That relationship had obviously turned sour before she entered the house and was pleased to have time away from it and get her head straight.
Of course in an ideal world she'd have ended the relationship before she went in the house, but life unfortunately tends to be messy. Rather like her duvet this morning ;)

From a betting POV, is it a positive? No.
Is it a massive negative? Very unlikely.
Is it a small negative that might lose her a little support? Probably.

No kissing, no handjob, just cuddling...and tickling.

For me the contrast between Corin and Josie is enormous and evident again in those 2 videos.

Corin is upbeat, fun, determined, energetic, honest, self deprecating, but not excessively so and generally positive.

Josie is dour, downbeat, lazy, negative, sefish, excessively self deprecating to the point where she's looking for sympathy, not just trying to raise a smile like Corin.

I'm still fully aboard the corin taxi and don't see how the heffalump can win.
Report armagnac August 4, 2010 12:05 PM BST
josie at single figure's is the biggest mystery in the world right now...fu ck the aztec lines there nothing compared to this
Report johnnyrant August 4, 2010 12:12 PM BST
Yes, I would whole-heartedly concur with that comparison fll. Guess the slight concern is that many of those Josie traits you describe probably plug directly in to many of the female viewers who are likely to be her supporters and have an affinity with her.
I'm still in the Corin taxi but it's turned into more of a tuk-tuk in downtown Bangkok, and the driver has just decided to take an unexpected turn off the main thoroughfare, and you're slightly concerned he's about to pull over down some shady back street and rob you blind.
fwiw I have baled on my Corin spread today - bought @15 sold @33 this morning and been laying at her current odds of around 5-4 and 11-8. Still a big green on her and trouble is, other HMs are now turning to healthy greens too but I'm against pretty much all of them Confused
Report FinancialHemorrage August 4, 2010 12:14 PM BST
I think the market has made a huge mistake with Josie.  The assumption is that insecure, bitchy women will back her and there are plenty of those.  The truth is no-one hates insecurity and bitchiness more than insecure, bitchy women and there are plenty of those.
Report shrewdbury August 4, 2010 12:18 PM BST
I don't think the OH thing will make much difference (unless she actually turned up as a housemate ala Rex!)

People who vote are not really bothered about other people who aren't actually on the show, just the behaviour and character of those in the house.
Report five leaves left August 4, 2010 12:22 PM BST
That's the trouble with laying her, jr.
You're left with green on HM's who have very little chance.

BB is invariably won by upbeat positive HM's.
Whingers and moaners don't win.

So that rules out JJ1, Josie, Steve, Andrew, Mario.

That doesn't leave many left.
Sam is still an interesting runner for me, because although he's a bit of a toerag, he's a very upbeat and positive guy.
Report shrewdbury August 4, 2010 1:50 PM BST
Being an utter utter tw@t rules out Sam.

As well as only being in the house 25% of the series.
Report VardonVoo. August 4, 2010 2:32 PM BST
Trouble is if you don't lay off your greens but backed other favoured runners instead you'd have to tie up much more of your cash until they introduce the last Tiddles, which you'd still be forced to back at whatever odds people could get away with offering if you needed to free up funds.

I think Corin would probably win if a positive vote was taken now but Im struggling to see how she can survive as the lone female in an eight-way negative eviction vote in which she has had so much air-time, even though tonights show was great for her. It will come down to how much she is shown in Fridays HLs and how the eviction process works. So basically BB will decide whether she is evicted or not and I really cant guess what their intentions are or even if they are particularly bothered.
