However, in this race, the stats point towards Albertas Run recording a follow-up success. Market leaders fare well here as do horses attempting repeat victories (Voy Por Ustedes the latest in 2008 and 2009). The outright market leader has won five of the last ten runnings. Given that Albertas Run arrives at Aintree in very similar form to last year, with a success in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham, it's very hard to make a case against him on the stats.
