Android App - is there going to be a new/working version released?

I am currently using the Exchange app version 2.6.1.

Is there a better functioning version available for Android or an update coming soon?

The app is slow,  constantly advises me there is an update available,  but when I update the new version is just a user interface to the mobile site.  Does Betfair not support Android anymore?

Other betting companies have great Android apps,  why not Betfair!
