This is a great question. Would be really useful to get regular customer feedback on all of our products so please feel free to bring up any suggestions, big or small.

I use ZoomBet on android (HTC Desire). The feature that I would like adding is to show profit/loss net of commission. Other than that it is a good all round app.

Thanks for your feedback QB.
Do you mean you want to see your profit/loss within the market you're viewing? or an overall P&L for your whole account?

The origional bf mobile (java I guess)has not been beaten by any of the new apps, and I keep returning to it(Using Htc win6 phones. My current "toy" is windows 7, (no apps available) and therefore totally useless for Bf, but fun to play with. I guess, as a "heavy" Bf mobile user I will have to continue carring two phones. The ideal app would be a converter making the origional work on android etc!!!

I have been trying to access Betfair via my Samsung Galaxy S. Found ZOOMBET LITE on the android market. Thanks to Quickbeam. What a smoothly simple quick app to use.Has all the drill down features you need in a lovely black UI.This sounds like spammingLaugh. But it's so dammed good. Speed is the number 1 priority when your mobile imo.

nogo666 - thanks for your input. Very interesting that you keep returning to the Java app despite the release of our newer web- and native-apps.  touch.betfair.com works very well on Android and iPhone and we have native apps on both platforms. What is it about the java app that you prefer?

A straight port of the product over to Android is an interesting suggestion but, to be honest, we can do more with the platform. Letting us know what is important to you will help us to do this.

Cheers in advance for any feedback.

Agreed. Excellent app and probably best of the bunch.

I still use Java (Nokia phone). The #1 feature I would like is Cancel-All bets - specifically as an option for each market but even a "global" Cancel-All option from the Unmatched bets tab would be an improvement. As far as I can see neither BF Mobile nor Lite has this. Seems obvious to me. Must be loads of other folks that place their bets at home on a long term in-play market (e.g. a golf tournament), head off out somewhere and then want to cancel them before those players start their rounds. Canceling each bet individually is a pain to say the least

Betfair mobile why did you delete my post about the java app, that it keeps logging you out???? cant fix it so hide it, V poor
Report BetfairMobile March 30, 2011 4:36 PM BST
Bundy - Your message wasn't deleted by anyone in the Betfair Mobile team. We are not the forum administrators.

That does sound strange, and not a common problem whatsoever...
Does it keep logging you out while you are actually in the app? is there an error message?
Which handset do you have? on which network?

Sorry for all the questions - just trying to get to the root of the problem.
Report Bundy89 March 31, 2011 4:50 PM BST
Well I was first to reply to this post and its gone and I didn't delete it... My point was the java app keeps logging you out after about 5mins idle, How can you wait to do a trade if this happens, plus the password entry is hard enough to type on a Nokia E52 button press phone, where other well know sites use a quick pin log on so simple, plus they dont log you out either.

Everybody knows about this problem just betfair dont. It is a common problem read back through the posts from others over the past year or so.

Re Java on HTC windows 6. What makes it superior, is as much about the touch stylus operation as anything else,on larger markets such as horse races in particular. You can see the market, select and bet quickly, ACCURATLY, and return to market, essential to trading! the other Touch apps are just blunt instruments by comparison. Try it yourselves with an HTC HD1 (for example) vs any android you like, and see who trades best! (cost me a fortune last time I did it)!

I am supprised your not aware of the application logging you of after a short while. You have been told many times, shows how much notice you guys take!
Personaly I got used to it and changed my password to afford a quick log in!
Report BetfairMobile April 4, 2011 11:06 AM BST
Ah i see... I thought you were suggesting you were being logged out while you are in the middle of a session, which is a lot less common than the issue you are in fact referring to. Apologies for the misunderstanding - must have missed the '5 mins idle' part.

I agree that it is not perfect to have to log back in only a short while after leaving the product. The main reason for this is security. We are, however, working on some ideas to enable quicker log-in that we will definitely update you on as and when.

nogo - thanks again. We are confident we can continue to improve our new products on the newer platforms and a large part of our focus is definitely on speed and ease of use. Have you checked out the Android solutions that have been built by some of our third-party partners? Maybe some of them will be more to your linking. Have a look here and let us know what you think:

using the Zoombet on Android now, quality app, very quick, also have Betacular as back up on phone. Would like to see deposit and withdrawel facility. As I have to log out and use the Iphone touch app through the net browser to do so, which is a bit of pain. Also the profit loss figure after commission to show on traded markets too please would be a good start.
