Could certainly be done, but legally it's likely to be very expensive to air - mobile streaming costs are through the roof!

Arthog, the deal with o2 allows its iphone customers unlimited internet streaming.

I use a Blackberry Bold on a Vodafone contract. I stream ATR and RUK to the phone using their Mobile TV packages. ATR is in their Sports/News pack; which also includes Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, and Extra for £5 a month. RUK is on a separate subscription which is an extra £5 a month. There is no extra data charge for this streaming. Mobile TV packs are available from other network providers, but I believe RUK is only available on Vodafone. O2 have trialled the dvb-h system in the past, and it might be that they are waiting for UHF channel 36 to be freed up before launching it in the UK. Unlike mainland Europe, dvb-h can only be fully implemented in the UK when analogue TV is switched off. Dvb-h will certainly produce better viewing on enabled phones, but in the here and now Mobile TV appears to be the only show in town.

The cost of mobile streaming from the content provider to the company showing it make this very hard to provision. Until the cost of mobile content that companies want to buy and distribute comes down then this is going to be hard for comapnies like Betfair to provide at free\reasonable cost.

If you bought an iphone application called WunderRadio, in addition to Timeform Radio, you can listen to SIS Audio through the following link.

sap where do u enter that on wunder radio mate. have got the app
Report sap July 7, 2009 9:46 PM BST
touch the "Stations" button and enter the above link in the input field labelled "URL or "Search RadioTime directory".

The radio station for laddies which is useful for evening racing (no timeform coverage) can be found by entering

http://audio.teamtalk.com/Ladbrokes/

hope this helps

lol newlawncailin, I've just noticed it toggles between english and german. For the morning greyhounds the feed is exclusively english. I'll come back to you if I manage to find the raw english feed.

By the way if anyone is interested there is another radio app on the iphone app store called " TuneIn Radio " and it's even better than "wunder" not only is it more reliable ( have found a few times that the stream has dropped on occasions and that some media files played through quick time have sometimes stopped ) but it also has the ability to record direct to the iphone too, and even better than that it's only a third of the price of wunder radio at £1.19. It's very good but if you don't believe me you could always read the reviews at the app store as it gets 4 and half stars.

hi newlawncailin,
Check out my post earlier in the thread. I can watch ATR and RUK on my Blackberry.
Report newlawncailin February 9, 2010 7:28 PM GMT
how do u install it armadale? or do i have to contact orange to arange it? to i need to download an app
Report armadale February 9, 2010 8:42 PM GMT
hi again,

The problem is Orange. I believe they stopped offering Sky TV mobile packs a while ago. As far as I know, Vodafone are the only operator that offers RUK (£5 a month). T-Mobile and Vodafone both have Sky Sports packs which include ATR (also £5 a month). I can confirm that Betfair Mobile + RUK + ATR work successfully on a Blackberry Bold 9700 running on a Vodafone contract.

hi

does anyone know if the streamfarm link still works for SIS coverage? if not is there a similar one?
