Afternoon all,

Just thought I would share a terrible experience that I have had over the last few days with Bwin.

On Saturday night, I decided that I would be the new york knicks in the basketball to be oklahoma as they were around 3/1. Having checked on here and on oddschecker, the best price available was the 3/1 offered by Bwin. I didn't have an account with them so I opened one and deposited £250. Upon trying to place the bet, I was told I could have a max of £81.04 which I wasn't too pleased about however I placed that and left, and topped up the remaineder elsewhere however I left the rest of the £250 in the Bwin account.

The knicks duly obliged Sunday night so I logged on to see my balance at just over £500 and went for the withdraw button. As I did so, the website informed me that I could only withdraw £230!!

Having just spoken to Bwin, they have informed me that they gave me a £20 free bet (it was never added to my £250 and there was no seperate area saying I had a free bet!) and that my original stake had included this. Therefore, I am now required to bet a further £120 at odds over 1.7 in order to withdraw my funds.

Frankly, I am disgusted as after going on and placing a winning bet, I cannot even withdraw the amount I originally deposited. Their customer service dept is also only open between 12 and 4, Monday to Friday and I can't say that they are overly helpful. The girl was nice enough but i was essentially told "thems our rules".

Overall, an appalling experience.

On the other hand, I must commend the likes of paddy power and **** who offer free bets all the time and I have never had a minutes bother - with them, a free bet is a free bet!

What's the big deal? So you have to bet a further £120 Shocked ...you should know in future to deposit in smaller pieces. You'll find most b00kies have deposit bonuses AND rollovers go without saying.

I had a bigger gripe with them last year.. I got to Green level (or whatever level it was), and was waiting for the special/ mystery gift through the post that comes with the status. A bottle of Port perhaps? Champagne? Red wine? No, bwin broach Cry

Yeah, Bwin sucks. I used to work for their Customer Service a few years ago. Too many issues, and complicated tricky rules...

This is why I never accept bonus or free bets or whatever
