But to see that kind of thing happen, with one team destroying another and then suddenly the reverse happen for no apparent reason, in two simultaneous games leaves me with very little faith that trading on this sport is anything other than pot luck.

Totally agree. It's a sport of momentum and runs. But nobody has any idea how long each run will last for. [Except the scriptwriters].
