good to be back watching NBA after missing the past 5 days. Going to tune into the big game in the East today between Chicago and New York then game in the West between Sacramento and LA Clippers

Maybe, but not necessarily in the case of a one point difference. In a game like basketball it's just too small to have any meaningful effect - either psychological or on the final scoreboard. Unless there was a very, very strong correlation over a few hundred games I wouldn't take much notice; even if there was something statistical in there it would be totally inexplicable (but nevertheless worth following if it's proven to work!)
