COME ON SYDNEY

Vale Lou Richards. Watching WOS on Sundays was an amusing way to start a Sunday for countless thousands of victorians back in the day. TV sports shows today just don't have the X factor that the originals had. Political correctness etc. etc. has really f....ed it all up for people having fun and a laugh. Lou's death just highlights the fact of the good old days being lost.

ahh some free time at last to make some pocket money.
Swans are as close to a sure thing as possible. Hawks a shell of a team with no midfield. Swans will be keen to crush them too after the misery Hawthorn has dished there way over the last few seasons. GWS with half a side head West to face the flat track bullies off their horror show last week. Rebound factor v a team who may well dial it in after getting two bonus in the last couple of weeks. The above in a double should go close to $2 |

some pre match commentary
Hawthorn are still only average – case in point, despite dominating Collingwood early last week they switched off and were well beaten in the end. They’ve been hit with the injury stick and it’s looking like it’ll be a long year for them. The uncompetitive performance has prompted them to bring in two debutants this week, Dallas Willsmore and James Cousins, and they’ve also recalled Kaiden Brand. Billy Hartung, Will Langford and Kurt Heatherley have all been dropped. Sydney have only a single change, with Oliver Florent replacing an injured Harry Cunningham, emblematic of how their lineup has settled and clicked into form. Looks like a great 'set up' for an apparent upset imo |

what a do nothing statue gillon macglauchlin is ???
Firstly allows an international organisation to control his own players destiny without having to supply any evidence of guilt. Then demands a player, who has not had any physical proof of guilt provided against him, hand back a brownlow medal. And next up, sits in his chair twiddling his thumbs while a brownlow medallist, and one of the fairest players i've personally ever seen, gets railroaded by political correctness into accepting a conviction for something he is innocent of. Why not just change the rules completely and turn the game into a sterile game of tiggy touchwood basketball. he's a fkn joke imo. |

On the brighter note:
SAM for PM ! Sam Newman has slammed the AFL following the organisation's controversial decision to change its logo to 'Yes' in support of same-sex marriage. Newman told a cheering Footy Show audience that the AFL were "obsequious, fawning, sycophantic political ****s" that had "no right to get involved in political messages". Let Joel go to the games without thinking about gays!! |

AFLW season 2 looking interesting...................
Transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey has nominated for the AFLW draft but just five days out teams still don't know if they can pick her. The AFL is deliberating whether the 190-centimetre, 100-kilogram ruck is eligible to enter the second AFLW draft after it confirmed Mouncey's nomination on Friday. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/womens-afl/transgender-footballer-hannah-mouncey-nominates-for-aflw-draft-20171013-gz0a5e.html |
