sorry,wrong thread

Well someone had to post this:

Having a bit of a dart throw today for fun.

MV R2
Like the odds of GALLANT HARMONY.  Horse is a flying machine, and should get the sit just behind the leaders, and will be strong through the line.  Big odds for mine.

Laid Tawteen 4.4 ish

Not a good start for the forum....

Agreed ...

MV R3
Think Silent Sedition on top here and should be winning.  Love the odds of DAGNY though, whose numbers suggest could give this a shake.

On them both.

Oh No..

Have Silent Sedition as the lay....

All good, Dagny at 50s will get up anyway, and only playing for peanuts....

Good ride that.  Set a beautiful pace and gave nothing a chance...

Nice lay.

Cheers...

Looking forward to rest of the day

Silent.. one to follow now that its had its first start over the mile

MV R4
Found MAWAHIBB on top, but can't touch those odds.  No bragging rights there.  So having a go at a couple again.

WELL SIGHTED seems ridiculous price.  Met the favourite 2 starts ago, beaten .4 lengths, taking .5 seconds off it in the final 200m, with this race an extra 200 metres.  Fav will be right in it, but no reason this should be paying 20s, vs 2.50 the fav.

The other one, is TRUCULENT.  Will be last rounding the turn, and capable of a big sprint.  Last start was wide the trip and pulled down, but ran splits of 10.68 10.61 11.16 from the 1000 to 400.  Holds off a bit, those sort of times well good enough to get passed them here.  Wouldn't be touching it sub 10, but 260+ looks pretty nice to me.

Glad you havent called Holler..Have it as a confident lay at 3.85 ish

Got a free bet on Brockhoff too, but that is just because it was a free bet.

Ouch.  Not a good start..

Biggest loss for weeks....

In retrospect, probably should have laid the fav there at those odds, but oh well.

In retrospect should have respected the $3.85 into $3.50 movement in the last 10 seconds

rail out is out 20m?

1st and 2nd in the run have finished 1st and 2nd in the last 3 races

horrible that horse breaking down

MV R5
Pretty keen on MISS GIDGET here.  Should be able to get across on the speed and looks very big odds.  Not laying, but fav looks well short.

Laying Haybah 10.00ish

going with Coolmore

Need a new market for me.  Which one will be widest and have the worst run.  Would be a huge day for me today.....

Curiosity made me look up the sponsor of the last race .....G1X.....

Another horse racing station for the unemployed commentators

MV R6
Following LIH in here with PRINCE OF PENZANCE.  Have it on top and couldn't possibly be stuck 3 wide from there.  Surely not...

bit keen with the blinkers maybe bugger it

Big run from the Coolmore horse to overcome the track bias

My fault ..went the early crow for you guys

Was a good run.  Took a big run to beat it.

Oh well.

Winner The US...big drifter to BSP 4.2

your fault hey henry, give yourself a face slap

beaten fav last 2 starts

track record.  fast lane on the rail at the valley?

a face slap

Cant...stabbed both hands with sharp pointy objects twice today...will kiss the wall with a head bang   3 times for you...

Hawkes' flying, another one at Randwick

MV R 7.
Taking HIERARCHAL and SAGARONNE here.  Both big odds and shouldn't be far away.

....  from being in the finish in the next race.   ffs...

sounds like a great crowd at the valley - about the only part I miss in not going to the track

someone had $10K up for the taking during the run on oils at good odds

2 more.  Obviously on Criterion in the Cox Plate.  And think TURN ME LOOSE looks a bit of a special at those odds.  Would flip odds with the favourite and consider it about right.

Switching channels.  Best of luck, or good management for the remainder gents....

Brain snap by J. McDonald imo on Shards

Although winner looked hard at it for 80m or so

miss in not going to the track

Certainly one of my favs decades ago....

Laying Turn me Loose at $4.50 ish ....confident !!

But I called it a special ffs....

goat track.. lol

Didnt see your call

WD

Laid off the lay once it lead....got 3.00's so loss but bearable...

Again WD....forgot it was the one that won impressively at Seymour

nevertheless....a losing day

goat track.. lol

Yes appears to be enormous BIAS to leaders

Yeah, think the Cleaner may have to be added at 17+ to the Criterion bet...

But in saying that, Turn Me Loose was clearly the best horse in the race...

Bow Creek was probably a better run

for what it is worth GAILO CHOP(23) in the cox plate looks a good pre race back to lay at shorter in the run. should see the trip out and may be handy imo. I am taking on AROD in the place market. its just ticked past 7.00 am from where I am writing and want to wish everyone good luck with all bets today.

Better Loosen Up!!

Winx could get an easy run along the fence.

Nugget...Bettter Loosen up ...one of the most memorable wins....

Backing Highland Reel and Criterion.

Cant understand Winx's short price

I thought it might drift also, lots of people seem to be potting it

I just scared myself that I was able to remember that

Winx..into 4.7 WTF

Laid it

#saloon passage
#rail bias
#course record

Boring race...

Got my money back at least.

Noted winner at $5.70 ..25 or so min before start.....into $4.50 by jump ..in the Cox Plate ...WTF WTF

1st, 2nd and 4th all came through along the rail.  A touch unlucky Criterion, copped a massive check.

Heavily backed fav wins the Cox Plate and there appears to be stunned silence..

track record.  fast lane on the rail at the valley?

Certainly was.

Showed our better horses can match overseas horses on flat tracks. What a win and criterions run fantastic

unreal acceleration

Drinking Cocktails at Twoomba. Couldn't resist a tenner on it!!

nice work Kami

maybe got the quinella then in the Toowoomba race after that going on the names

what a terrific Cox Plate day and a magnificent win by the mare ... wow ... like Nuggest said 'unreal acceleration' defines her

the interesting runner imo was the third horse .. aidens ... must have lost about 3 litres of electrolytes mucking up behind the gates in the last few minutes before the jump .. great effort it

those that remember the good ol ...  ALHIGH/STAR OF THE MAGI ... days (whiskers might remember) when the MASTER was tipping us some big winners/odds from the aquanita link will remember the filly  ... HVEGER

alhigh tipped it to us when tony vasil took her over the Adelaide for the Oaks .. alhigh gave her a top chance in the race

and she ran third for us at ... 50/1 on here .. great days

well HVEGER is the dam of Highland Reel .. small world .. and a link to Oz again for Aiden ..

no doubt Hartley will commend us on our breeding stock

so Winx a legend .. and highland reel a historical link .. on probably our best day of raing in Australia (Cup Day more fun but Cox day the pinnacle of class)

and SPY will be over the moon you would think .. Winx made all the others today look 'near' 2nd rate today ...

and over 2400m last autumn ... GUST OF WIND ... relegated Winx ... to the second class in the Oaks

still some great racing ahead of us in Oz

Good to see you're still alive Thebas. I was worried.

  cheers mate

If you're not here then who am I going to write sh1t for? You're all that's left of my audience.

Or maybe it's like as Spinal Tap once explained: their audience wasn't getting smaller it was just becoming more select!

Great post Thebas and yes certainly thought of ,,,in the sense hope all good with you... just need the quinella with Joel who is missing in Moonee Valley Gold Cup day

cheers henry ..all good pal .. and kami is our (local) johnny drama ... we need Kami's posts

pretty sure there are lurkers with a smile on their dials also ...

but his year has flown crikey ... Cup day just 10 away

Hartley ... where are you matey

criterion beats home aiden's only runner ... in the Juddmonte mile at York in Britain not 2 months ago

and now beats home aiden's only runner in the cox plate in Oz

ya gotta laugh

^ Juddmonte was 10f also ... Hartley will remember for sure

OMG

I actually thought Kami was in a Twoomba pub (literally drinking cocktails)

Just one of those days....

You'd have to pay me at least $1000 to go anywhere near Twoomba.

Winx lotta love for !!
hpwewever disgraceful rail bias in play ALL DAY

*however

tarnishes the win but in years to come all will be forgotten
grub of an owner to boot...but he has the last laugh despite penny pinching ways

Didn't dampen my keenness but they're 2 diff horses, main thing that got me about GOW is even as a 3yo she struck me as a genuine 3200m, thats a rarity for our horses

Had a nice bet GOW in Melbourne Cup about a month ago with $365 and Sportsbet

rofl you fkn ****

must be bliss...... another oaks winner goes around today, this one even more "matured" than the other

had a nice bet THE OFFER in Melbourne Cup about an hour ago with $36.50 and Betfair Ante

had a nice lay THE OFFER in Melbourne Cup about five minutes ago with $36.50 and Betfair Ante

if only parnham wasn't riding jacoman

Backing Mon Bel Ami at Gosford r3.

Did that tip come with mums blessing

Horsham winner number 5....wins easily ...down to 1.12

Number 6  ..down to 1.01..never likely

Spec savers for someone
