Struggled last year Hectorjayjay Best Rougih for the day, Do also like Isiah in that race Terror to love vs Forareason Ill Take Terrortolove Something small as it owes me OurOveranover in the Trot |

any forumites heading out tomorrow?
By:
no |

What a total scorcher of a race that Ladyship Mile should be!! Anyone remember Adore Me storming home out 4w in a 54 last half in the Vic Cup? She started $2.30 vs Christen Me, Terror to Love, Guaranteed, Philadelphia Man and Restrepo and in this she opened $2.10 vs Frith. The barrier draw is perfect to make a race of it and I respect Lloydys opinion and can't decide which way to go myself except that it's a must watch event. Could be one of the races of the year.

You in Sydney henry?
By:
I am, why? You going tomorrow?
By:
You're in Melbourne. Everyone knows that. I have no desire to go to Menangle.
By:
What about Bathurst for the Cup?
By:
Ahhhh.... more info?
By:
The Bathurst Cup. Tomorrow at 5.10pm.
By:
Sorry. No can do. I am up for a Cup so long as there's more than 18 hours notice and it's in NSW. Best if Tommy can come too. Do you think he would be allowed on track? Will there be a motel I can stay in that will let Tommy stay with me? I suppose we could sleep in the back of the ute. Hope it doesn't rain. You seem a fairly easy going bloke I hope you don't suddenly turn MENTAL after a certain number of drinks and want to start fighting. Tommy doesn't like any unpleasantness.
By:
That should be OK. I don't fight and I can hold my drink. It's only a few months til Beef Week Cup in Casino. We might even be able to meet Miss Beef Week.
By:
If we put a nice suit on Tommy and he can walk on two legs like Roo can, he will be welcome on course/
By:
A suit? You don't expect me to wear s suit do you?
I could always put Tommy in a bag. I've done that before. When I first took him to watch a match at Sydney Uni I wasn't sure if they let dogs in so I put him in my bag. I needn't have bothered. They allow dogs in. |
By:
A bag should be fine, I wont be wearing a suit to Beef Week Cup Day.
How old is he? |
By:
Hard to believe he is 10. That went quick.
Do you think the authorities would be upset if he tried to chase the horses? He's pretty slow he can't get even near a rabbit. I remember one time driving in the ute in the country. He was looking out the window without much interest when we passed a paddock full of cows. He did the classic Double Take and I could see him thinking WTF is that?!! |
By:
He should be ok.
If he likes Cows then Beef Week might just be the thing for him. |
By:
Beef Week sounds just the thing for me! Casino doesn't sound too interesting though.
By:
There's not many pubs there. But maybe the ones that are there a good enough....
By:
It's a long drive. How will you get there? When is it?
By:
It's at the end of may, just had a look and Beef Week is 23rd of May to 2nd June, the Cup is usually on the Friday so the 29th I guess.
They generally release the full program a couple of months before but highlights last year included Cattle Sales, Square Dancing, Cow Milking Competitions and of course the awarding of The Beef Week Queen! |
By:
I think I would probably fly to the Gold Coast and then take a train down
By:
Any other options? What about the New England area in winter?
