Provide your thoughts here.

I can sniff a potential upset in the Vic heat.

Avonnova should just win in QLD?

West Australian heat is no good, Hercules should beat those ants from the back row?

No idea how they graded the two Sydney heats, best horse around in the supplementary heart, triple NZ Cup winner also in the supplementary heat. They are having a lend surely?

as you are such a passionate harness racing guy i really shouldn't use this thread to bring up the disappointing performance from the so called best horse since BAF but really how can I help myself?

getting to the Inter Dom

Looks the perfect draw for the little champ from QLD - just will hold my breath at the start

Agree with you re WA - appears a weak heat - No G Hall runners is interesting when he usually has 5 in most FFA's

a great hour and a half's viewing when all the heats are on - looking forward to it

Intriguing Inter Dominion heat set for Melton

09 February 2015
by Cody Winnell

The field for the Victorian heat of the 2015 Inter Dominion will see arch rivals Guaranteed and Lennytheshark lock horns once again and both have drawn nicely for the 2240-metre race.
Guaranteed has snared the pole, the Emma Stewart trained runner reported to have bounced back from a suspected respiratory infection post-Hunter Cup.

Lennytheshark has been aimed at the Inter Dominion for months and has grabbed gate three for the heat, one spot outside stablemate Wartime Sweetheart.

The latter has terrific gate speed and could cross Guaranteed early. The question then would be does Wartime Sweetheart hand up to Cold Major, who has blistering gate speed? And then does Lennytheshark push around and assume the front? This scenario would put Guaranteed in an awkward spot...

Geoff Webster has two runners in the heat, Flaming Flutter out of barrier four and Franco Ledger in gate eight.
Franco Ledger is drawn for a soft trip but is likely to be shuffled to near the rear of the field early. That doesn't matter too much as that is his go and he's got enormous closing speed late in his races. He'll be flying home.

The same can be said about Im Corzin Terror and Chilli Palmer. The latter was a bit disappointing last time out but he's much better than that.

Another Aiken runner is Smudge Bromac, who is drawn gate seven, while stablemate of Guaranteed Beauty Secret, who has returned in ripping order, will also contest the heat.

Okay Ladies & Gentlemen, lets start on this one ....

Ten days ago, it was decided that Suave Stuey was not quite good enough to make the Victoria Cup field.  So it could be assumed this might be a fair point to use for measurement when it comes to ranking the InterDom Heats, and their respective qualification numbers.

In the VIC Heat : -

Guaranteed
Lennytheshark
Im Corzin Terror
Franco Ledger

all engaged.

In the NSW Heat : -

Beautide
For A Reason

both engaged.

Can you believe that the NSW Heat garners 4 Final Spots,  while the VIC Heat gets just 3 ???????

I think a common sense solution would have been to withhold an extra Wildcard, and keep the NSW Heat to 3 Qualifiers - perhaps that's outside the conditions ... but they have the power to change them on the run, as I think they have before !!!
By:

When: 09 Feb 15 23:44
Agree Trotman, the Vic heat appears to have more depth and less spots!

You can throw Chilli Palmer on your list as well who is a wildcard in any race.

The seeding of the NSW heats is ridiculous

The combination of Victoria Cup, Hunter Cup, Inter Heats & Inter Final into a five week stretch has definitely got ALL the good ones involved .... but it has also effectively had the races cannibalise each other.

Only Christen Me has a chance of being competitive in ALL now -- and it could be his undoing for attempting it ?

If he can WIN on March 1 - he ranks as an old school InterDominion WINNER !!!

Does anyone else feel like there's something going unsaid in relation to Beautide ??

He had such a faultless preparation last year, and deserved everything he got.

The promotion from TABCORP for him has been relentless - why so intense from that corner ??

Okay -- so I'm a cynic  :-)

wow ,,,,damm....no surprise....

Many not what they used to be.....perhaps worn out ....I have more cynical thoughts ...

Moving on... I am expecting a more level playing field as I suspect some blue solutions now not being used...

Christen Me  ...the true athlete imo..achievements outstanding without being "Herculean"

Beautide now the lay ....might run more to how nature intended.

My radical prediction for the Heats is that Franco Ledger will actually be the loser from Guaranteed scratching.

The race tempo could be set to 'trackwork' - making it tough for anything settled behind the first few !?!?!

It was around about 2006 - 2008 is my guess.

There was no race thread today either on a day that had 8 Group Ones or something.

I got no idea what went wrong. I notice the Rugby Forum which is 99% UK has gone downhill also.

WOW, I can get on to make $200..

Yes you could on a horse which at that time was fixed price of $1.80.

No corporate doing that and from what I read they limit the punters to threepence.....

Would any of those 500 hundred former  posts throw up that offer .....now stay positive and next week take up my early bird over the odds offer...happy to  do to 1000.00 if that suits you better.....

Stay positive Love

It's a bit disappointing that VK comes on here and complains about the forum, fair enough, but then doesn't reply to the responses. That's the reason the forum has gone downhill. People don't reply.

Not too much to talk about out of the first heat.

This one looks more interesting, Suave Stuey Lombo will be out to test Beautide's fitness I would think. Should be a more lively race

But can't complain.

I'm on Flaming Flutter to win Inter.

Lauren Panella galloping out and then charging back up to the death on Stuey...  in an Inter heat no less.  If I was a steward I'd hand out 6 month bans to all drivers who did that.  Just so utterly dumb, dumb, dumb.  Drives like that end careers.

The Perth heat could be very interesting. The winner will need to have done non lethal amounts of work to be worth the flight over so in this rare instance will they be able to contain their natural instincts to go insane?

Deafening silence from all the ptr tsvr Beautide knockers,

Fair point......I was one ...ironically I didn't get to see the race but latter saw the results  ($1.70 tatts div)......

that was nothing short of breathtaking,

Cant wait to watch......replay sounds like he returned to winners list in great style.

Quite frankly this is how the @cobalt@ topic has badly affected the racing / gambling industry ...for those prone to conspiracy theories as I am  ...it clouds our personal  opinions and can cause us to unfairly comment or give bias opinions towards great feats......

I have undertaken to myself not to bring in cobalt related conspiracy theories in circumstances when nothing has been proven....as this really was the basis of my @knock@ on Beau

Again looking forward to watching the replay of Beautides breathtaking win as described by you.....

In all honesty it is a terrible Inter final. The authorities have to be big enough to admit it hasn't worked.

Everyone raving about Beautide and Lennytheshark, dear oh dear. They are beating up on the B graders, and didn't do anything they shouldn't have last night.

The best horses around, generally speaking, are the kiwis. And what those organising these series have to realise is that they are effectively not interest.

Can you imagine a series with: Christen Me, Adore Me, Tiger Tara, Ohoka Punter, Sky Major etc etc

Instead we see a couple of A graders and nothing else that can legitimately win. Really disappointing
