Any thoughts on who was the ex jockey arrested and handcuffed on Melbourne Cup night, and stood over by six security staff in a high profile Melbourne establishment. The Murdoch press ran the story but withheld the riders name. Could it be GH, GE, JE or someone else?
THERE was a sad story during Melbourne Cup week that was kept very, very hush.
A former top-class hoop was spotted in a classy establishment nearing midnight after the actual Cup, handcuffed and flanked by up to six security guards.
Passers-by had no idea who the bloke was on the ground.
We had every intention to publish the jockey's name.
And why wouldn't we given the big-name hoop in question was in the wrong?
But after a phone call on Friday, we quickly found out the guy has enough on his plate. It would be cruel to out him when he's already struggling.
Guess all you want, but we won't be giving him up.
We sincerely hopes he can get his life together
it was a 'he' according to the telegraph a couple of days ago ...http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/superracing/fallen-former-jockey-a-sad-sight-at-melbourne-cup-carnival/story-fni2gegf-1226761744770THERE was a sad story during Melbourne Cup week
And there would have been 16 of the apes "restraining" him
Only six apes quelling the ex jockey?Must have been short staffed. Obviously not C Casino as it mentions " classy " And there would have been 16 of the apes "restraining" him
GH. he's a bit better off than "living out of the car" status... at least he has a caravan to go home to. The punt giveth and the punt taketh.... mostly taketh. here's hoping someone can tip him a winner or two for a change.
