Spot on wonby10, isn't it good that stewards aren't corrupt? I wonder if the tab said we will lose too much money by scratching them as a lot of the recreational punters would'nt be able to reinvest? Unbelievable
By:
Wonder how Paul Beshara the trainer of Happy Trails feels right now, and all the other trainers that have had their horses scratched for breaking the same rule?
By:
"The young strapper inadvertently put some white heeler on his heels this morning and you know, he didn't realise. He just treated it as another day and didn't realise and so the stewards passed him fine to race."
Gai Waterhouse easy going boss |
By:
Its also Ok to Back another Horse when you riding in same race.
10 months should of been life and Jail. Now rewarded with Biggest race. Would of been outed for Life any other Country. Was sickning to see him win. |
By:
they're allowed to be treated on raceday with stewards permission
By:
So you're saying they both asked for permission?
By:
Just a smoke screen. imo.
Kept em all busy so they could fix up the other 1. ![]() ![]() |

Would have been a total mess had Tres Blue or Dunaden won, racing in this country would have become an instant joke, which connections of the second horse with $3m at stake wouldn't have fired in a protest against the winner. Bailey and stewards present surely wouldn't have been able to have heard the protest having been instrumental in the original decision. No payouts with a hearing when a panel of independent stewards could be formed with the possibility of it all ending up in the Supreme Court at some date in the future. Bailey really needs to take stock and stand down pending an inquiry into his actions. Credibility (if he had any) totally shot.
By:
He lost all credibility when he stitched Nikolic up, now i'm no DN apologist, he deserved time but for what he did do wrong not a beat up by TB
By:
I wonder did Michael Duffy back Fiorente today?
By:
doesnt say that permission cant be retroactive, dont know about the other horse but using white heeler is nothing - they were correct to leave it in the field

doesnt say that permission cant be retroactive, dont know about the other horse but using white heeler is nothing - they were correct to leave it in the field You're fkn joking surely? So you're saying you break the rules and then apply for permission? You been betting on the trots for too long ![]() |

Uncle,
Im still puzzled how Lance copped nothing when Smoken Up won Inter in NZ. What happened about that? Race taken off horse but nothing happened to Lance. Has me baffled that one. I wonder how good racing would be if you just let the best Chemist win |
By:
if the stewards say that it is ok then they havent broken any rule, the rule says they may withdraw them, not they will or should... and some people are comparing this to happy trails, pahlease, one used a needle the other used a topical antiseptic
barry lew was caught treating on NZ cup day with syringe over the tongue, allowed to start - upstanding trainer and all that lance lost the race but wasnt found to have been complicit with presenting him with dmso, so he wasnt actually charged with anything |
By:
Didn't Happy Trails swab come up clean?
By:
They always do, Spy.
By:
yes it did and no syringe was ever found but of course beshara was lying according to the stewards. if that had gone to a court of law the stewards would have been laughed out of existence.
By:
White Healer lmao, that's on a par with oiling a horses feet - technically a treatment also, surely common sense should always prevail.
By:
common sense eh - in QLD your not allowed to use molasses in their water unless you buy it from the club
By:
Yes uncleee most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, that rule wont last long surely.
By:
a pack of dobbers these 'security guards' are turning out to be
By:
it's a disgrace Wonby - one rule for the battler another for the big names

By:
agree re Oliver as well - leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he was able to negotiate a penalty that meant he didn't miss the carnival
By:
Now that RVL has increased the powers of it's Integrity Commission, should they re-open the Damian Oliver case, now that they have the power to compel people to appear and answer questions before the commission.
By:
That sounds like double jeopardy Neeson
By:
He only admitted to one bet, and was suspended for one bet. Were there more?
By:
Thats a fair point and answer to your question is, maybe/possibly/certainly
But to investigate him further would make things very uncomfortable for 1 or more of the committeemen down there, so best to just move on in their opinion |

Interesting ............ MUG Spy wants to say the trots are clearly the most corrupt code around
![]() ![]() ![]() What a complete farce that all was, you would have to be a complete mug to think gallops is not the most corrupt code, where the most money exists that will always be the case |
By:
Thats why there are virtually no bookies left at the trots and corps tread very carefully with trot punters. AD should stand for Aussie Donkey and thats only if you're an Aussie
![]() You haven't answered, are you a 2 or a 3? because by your own words you're not a 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() |
By:
What a mug .......... talk about bad timing for another gallops rort by the rule makers, after you had got on your soapbox just the night before carrying on about how much worse the trots are. You must have felt like a complete dill as that fiasco unfolded
![]() |
By:
By the way, can you try to refer to one of the issues at hand in your next post, through the whole discussion you have not referred to the issues at all, I wonder why
![]() |
By:
You total goose, where have I ever said there is no corruption at the gallops, but it has been able to sustain the corruption whereas the trots were corrupted into the ground into the said pathetic state the sport finds itself in now and if you don't think the sport is in a pathetic state, i feel sorry for you
By:
Still waiting on your answer, are you a 2 or a 3?
By:
Waiting for an answer on some stupid unrelated question, desperate to get off topic it seems.
You clearly didn't understand the market you were referring to the other night (because you don't know the horses at all) and were just guessing. The more you post you seem like you are no more than a guesser with an extremely limited knowledge of the sport generally. You certainly know nothing about markets, that was plain for all to see |
By:
You keep harping about my comment about that race, you say they were priced the wrong way around, but you said that after the race, not a peep out of you before it, so you aftertime to show your knowledge.
Yes I was guessing because of the reputation the trots have, it was off the cuff and had these ![]() ![]() after the comment. The drifter did gallop at the start, so I asked you if you knew the drifter was off, you not only said you didn't know, you also said you knew nothing for a fact, but you say you know markets, there is a contradiction in itself |
By:
Did you not aftertime posting your thoughts after the race? You are hilarious.
You didn't say it in that manner at all, not only a mug but a liar. You know exactly what you were saying and didn't like being told you were wrong by someone who knew the product in question more than you |
By:
![]() |
By:
I didn't know anything about the race beforehand, so thats a bit different, but you said you knew the market was wrong, but you didn't say that until after the race, that my dumb friend is aftertiming
By:
And I stick by by comment the trots are filthy with corruption
