According to some Carlton are 'no farkin good'. That may or may not be true. What is true is that West Coast Eagles are 'absolutely no farkin good' !

brilliant decision by the AFL to play the Geelong/Freo game next week in Geelong. Didn't think they would, a chance to do something different and innovative and they took it. Will be a great thing for the town.

Before you were born, Joel, all teams had their own, exclusive dunghill.
That's when HOME ground advantage was indisputably real and tangible. Cold showers were the standard in the visitors rooms . Geelong is the only Vic team to retain their dunghill. That's why...imo. |

I suppose so. Here in Victoria we have NEUTRAL afl finals standard grounds/facilities as options.

Rubbish Spoon. Assuming Fremantle lose they will get a home final next week. What's the difference? It's not a dunghill anymore, they have spent many $$ bringing it up to modern standards. Etihad is a good venue but has no real soul or tradition, why should it get a final? Will be a massive deal for the people of Geelong, and seeing as they finished top 2 and can't play the MCG, unfair on them to go to Etihad. Throw in their contribution to the comp over recent years and for me it's a no brainer.

Credit where credit is due a good effort by Carlton to come back and win, but their presence is an irrelevance anyway, as predicted the eagles got absolutely flogged and as for that **** demetriou, well obviously sydney will never ever again be severely disadvantaged by being forced to play "home" finals at ANZ, all swans home finals will now be at the SCG won't they Andrew, absolutely zero chance of that happening of course.
I despise hypocrisy, and Demetriou is a hypocrite of the highest order. |
