Afternoon all from www.puntersshow.com.au and we love launching a new product and we have a ripper starting this week for Melbourne.
Expert punter and bookmaker Leigh Dalton kicks off what will be a weekly thorough analysis of the Melbourne Saturday meeting.
Leigh has been a fixture in the Melbourne betting ring for many years and has built a record as a highly successful punter and form judge.
We have been working with him for some time to develop a set that we are extremely confident will be a winning one and are thrilled to launch this week.
“We have had some fantastic success with most of our products, the most recent one being the phenomenal returns of John McLeod in Brisbane,” Dallas Baker said.
“The format of Leigh’s set is very similar to John’s with a comment for each runner, a breakdown of each race and, most importantly, a staking plan expressed in units.
“I have no doubt Leigh will return a winning set overall and be a very welcome edition to the Punters Show suite of products; give him a go, it will be well worth it!!”
Leigh’s Melbourne set kicks off just as the carnival action springs right into gear with the Memsie Stakes at Caulfield and he is very confident of a winning start.
“Yes, Caulfield does look very good on Saturday, I’m really looking forward to it and think we will starting on the right leg,” he said.
“On my first run through the form, there do look some seriously good things we will be launching right into and some other runners at very good value we will be on as well.
“As Dallas said, the format is similar to John’s in Brisbane and like John, we will also not be afraid to let races go; at the end of the day it is about winning and we will play each race on its merits and in doing so, I’m sure we will end up in front.”
If you would like an example of Leigh’s set, please head to the site www.puntersshow.com.au and the last two weeks he supplied for private clients are contained in the article about the new product.
Leigh's set for Saturday set can be pre-purchased now for just $55; you will be sent automatically an email download link that will take you to his sheet when it comes online Saturday morning.
I am a man of the people Dane, if I were to charge that it would be per day, not per tip....so if there were multiple cups on the one day punters would get good value.

my point was - MP is now out in the open. His reputation will live or die according to the success or failure of his tipping. Pretty brave of him i reckon

Ahh yeah, brave I suppose, plenty of people out there putting their tips up for free by the same token.
At least he gets to cuddle up to a few bucks at night for the trouble.

1 thing you know, M_P will work harder than he has in a long time to get set as perfect as he can. The downside to putting out a set every meeting, is some cards look just too hard where you might be lucky to have one bet, but you have to put out a full set, and you can't really put out a set and say I don't like the card at all, as subscribers will think it was a waste of subscription.

The middle bloke said he'd had his worst day EVER at the races on the Friday? (in context of how many days he's been on the
punt....THAT"S PRETTY SERIOUS we've all been there.) He seemed shellshocked still. Shoulda called in sick.
The bald bloke reminded me of the shamwow dude but I spose someone's gotta spruik?
and then there was GP with A.D.D.

They look like they've just finished the business in the public toilet and come out to chat about racing as if to say 'nothing to see here. No gay stuff going on. We're just talking thoroughbreds.'

That wasn't that hard.If you could find the winner.
Chante and I were lamenting that fact.
Does he pick 4 in each race?
Tx, Spy.1st 4 in R8 good on him, $2300!That wasn't that hard. If you could find the winner. Chante and I were lamenting that fact. Does he pick 4 in each race?
I love the four horse per race tipsters. If the 4th pick wins they spruik it. OK so I'm meant to bet all four horses? So four horses,$100 each, eight races that's $3200. So they get a quinella up and they spruik it. OK so I've got to take quinellas too. Four horses a race, quinellas, eight races that's another (insert figure here I can't be bothered working it out). If they get a trifecta they spruik that too so now you've got to take trifectas on every race. It's never ending. Before you know it they get bugger all up and you're down millions.

I too wonder about parameters. I haven't yet had anyone assist me with my lack of understanding re "buying" tips.
I do get it at Carnival times when the clueless in suits want some of RW's, etc in a text just to fill their vacuum.
I have wondered if First-4, Trifecta specialist punters? may be suitable candidates ..... I'm clutching though

If you're punting well and winning well why would you be bothered giving your hard work away for a measly few bucks? If your struggling to make money on the punt why not throw out a set of tips if there are mugs who'll pay for them. When you continue to provide losing sets surely your conscience or the mugs bank balance should mean a termination of the product

Well that's possibly the way I see it too but they seem to have "supporters" on here.......... and an audience?
As previously stated I do think MYM is a different animal. (obviously I do )

Hi all! Figured I may of got a run on here after yesterday- appreciate the kind words and genuine shock at the lack of baggers don't think one person called me a **** or a pr1ck........ my how things have changed around here!!!
To try and answer most questions I have seen- no not 4 tips per race there is staking plan which will generally be a main bet and possibly a saver, some races I will sit out but there is still an overview of the races and individual comments on each horse so not like you get 0 for the race.
Why do it? Cash is king boys given I am doing the work for my own purposes anyway it is some extra work to produce the worksheet that subscribers receive there will be an example up on the site of yeserdays set most likely tomorrow. I can't see it affecting my ability to get on believe it or not I'm not trying to back horses to win $40k-$50k I'm happy just to be getting on for my little bit and most if it means more people backing winners I am happy I'm not greedy, many will recall me posting what I was doing punt/lay wise on here for a number of years I have never been protective of my opinion.
Finally there is a little EGO involved (its not a dirty word) I pick up the paper and see them calling 'experts' or watching them on TV now I feel for the public who are listening to these people thinking what they say is gospel! I know I can provide to the average bloke who wants to have a bet on a Saturday a better service than they are currently getting or provide a 2nd opinion to the good judges if they want to compare, so yes I have a point to prove you gotta remember I had myself pegged as very good when I was a 20 year old kid posting on here always backed myself in, no different now I believe in myself.
Not going to win every week take out Z man no one can do that, but I will tell you all that there is plenty of work going into what I am doing for The Punters Show and it is the A set.
Other than that I hope everyone is well good to see some old faces (well screen names) in this thread I do still flick through from time to time to see what everyone is doing.
Cheers MP

Why are all you regulars letting such rubbish go unchallenged!
Anyone who bothered to read the comprehensive AFR material on Zeljko should be able to discern how he really makes his money.
And no one in their right mind would try to emulate that.

jfc, the letter Z has powerful magnetic properties when it comes to attracting you
Rebate givers are as much to blame as Z is for taking them imo

If Casinos want to sacrifice their edge in a Player versus Bank scenario then it's no skin off my nose.
But this caper is a Player versus Player scenario, where any back room deal choreographed by Zeljko will add a further tax on the rest of us.
Bob Hawke was in the thick of it in the VITAB fraud - well documented in Hansard and academic studies - where Zeljko was the key beneficiary.
Then John Howard, when Prime Minister actually endorsed kickbacks.
Because in his sheltered life the subtleties of who the Player was actually versusing eluded him.
Anyone who has to resort to summoning Zeljko's name to promote their product deserves to be held in the same scepticism and contempt as I have for Pollett.
Do the kickback givers deserve blame?Elementary! If Casinos want to sacrifice their edge in a Player versus Bank scenario then it's no skin off my nose. But this caper is a Player versus Player scenario, where any back room deal choreographed by Zeljko

Well then blame them, rather than try to start an argument with me, when I actually concur.
I urge anyone not familiar with the VITAB fraud to look it up, and find out about the bewildering stunts by the TABs which seem destined to destroy the whole caper.

For those who not aware, as I understand it Pollett had $50 on Pablo's Pulse with Peter Todd at 1000/1. Circa 1987.
Whereupon this propelled him into a stellar bookmaking career.
Which fizzled big time pronto.
Now I've made more than my share of mistakes in this caper.
But I've tried to learn from them, and try to remind myself every time I overstretch.
Not so Glenn.
Rather than trying to come to grips with essentials like the Kelly Criterion, where he would be helped immensely, he instead gets more obnoxious, particularly in failing to acknowledge those who have actually cracked this caper.

What part of had $50 on PP at 1000/1 needs further elaboration?
Right now I'm uncertain whether that was on the nose or Each-Way.
Many years later I had a brush with Peter Todd at a track toilet or whatever.
Where I alluded to that world record officially recorded at 500/1.
Didn't take him wrong to correct me as to the actual triple digit reality.
Also, I was actually at Warwick Farm that day.
Heard some yahoos being very vocal, but didn't realise what was behinf it.

Pollett alluded to that vaguely on the Punters Show once.
Evidently he'd walked the track and detected a bias favouring wide runners.
But whether this was genius on his part, didn't seem to affect those who then took him to the cleaners.
