asking bookmakers to tip horses to punters ... for the punters to then bet those very tips back with bookmakers ... to take the bookies money ... always seemed a strange practice for mine Confused

Thats only minus 430 units, what are you worried about Mr Elephant? didn't his sets do very well overall in Vic?

Can just see Tim Shaw aka Dallas Baker working on his spiel for next weeks set, But wait there's more Laugh

Agree Thebas

So why does he do it ?

New generation of 17+ potential customers, don't know any different and the pre and present baby boomers(me inc) who see it as a strange practice are not the future revenue streams for such organizations.

The way it was,the way it is,the way it will be.

Up to 40 different betting options on a rugby game of 80 minutes.(the way it will be)
Baby boomers(me)who want a result in less than 2 minutes, dying breed.

agree thebas

in a similar vein now that the Tab is a bookie does it ever get to the stage that they ramp people to back dud tips

maybe they will only employ bad judges who sell their tips strongly (I can think of 1 such person they employ already who does this)

yet another example of the conflict of interest that occurs with the tab dominating the racing media imo

At least the goose is smart enough to block certain people from posting to his twitter and facebook.  I reported the fcukwit as spam and scam with them since he is that full of **** it isn't funny.  One of those people that I would happily watch while somebody repeatedly punched him in the face.  And not that he is any worse in regards to what he does than most, just that the **** is fcuking everywhere doing it.  Everywhere I look I see that **** spamming his **** to the masses about all these bets he is taking, and he won't take a fcuking cent from me.

In fact the guy that rang me to tell me my account was finnish, suggested he wouldn't even be allowed to bet with him.  Guy is a fcuking joke.

By:
TheElephant
When: 24 Mar 13 23:30
The obvious questions are

a. this aint the A Set and he's another one taking people for a ride

b. he is a complete MYTH

Marking Whiskey all Round evens in a race with a lot of ?'s & Ashokan an over rated CAT evens is total bullsh!t
and Pierro $6 pleeeeeese

Saturdays obviously no good, but his A set has a AAA+ rating with Standard & Poors
By:

When: 26 Mar 13 05:20
do you think it's genuine or not ?  i mean Wiskey and Ashokan evens ?  Pierro $6  do you do your own markets there is no way in hell they were that price
By:
spyvspy27
When: 26 Mar 13 06:05
Put it this way, by many people saying they would like his A set means there is also the possibility of a B set and even a C set, having said that he has rated 16.00 pops 4.00 and its a lot easier after the event, example I had Ashokan 3rd pick at 8.00, he ran a half length 2nd to Complicated at Canberra, who I would've had top pick if he was in this race, thought winners run was far superior to Ashokans, but then I had More Joyous 2.25, Pierro 2.50, so that was a bad race for me as had plenty on MJ.

R1 Didn't like his bets
R2 &3 Can understand staying out
R4 Didn't like Whiskeys BUT that was after seeing him in the enclosure, no such luxury for RW, but didn't like Va Pensiero at any time in it
R5 Didn't like any of the 3
R6 I was on 51/2star
R7 I was on Steps In Time
R8 I was on MJ for juicy result
R9 He got the winner

I would be interesting to see how you would've done if you had purchased every single set he has sold on puntersshowto see how you would've gone overall

My sets available for $1.00 + GST if interested Laugh

No one is correct all the time but i think you agree the 3 i mentioned were completely false prices
Pretty much agree with what you've said but if he is the so called god of true markets then all i'm saying it's plain to see that this aint the A set cause no one with any idea would have marked them like that
Because of his reputation he is in a position to head fk anyone who wants to follow and my guess that's been his intention from the start

Were you out there spy or spying from home?  re Whiskeys All Round
if so what was he betting in the Canterbury Stks?  i mean marking Pierro $6 he was surely top odds and cuddling MJ

Don't worry i had them similar to yours can you believe that little suck had Pierro in front of MJ on the fence before the first corner I nearly vomited !

Just spying from home, and re Pierro, Cassidy just outrode Rawiller, the moment he pressed from the jump and was in front of MJ I knew I was in trouble, terrible blu by Nash, he was in a line of 3 with Secret Admirer & Solzhenitzn and abou 1/2l behind the pair, fancy not being in front of those 2 in the run
By:

interesting to see the thread got a mention on the Punters Show - they put their hand up and said he'll come back hard next week, i hope he does for the people that do buy his sets

good thing with stuff like this is that his thinking influences the market, if he is wrong it influences the markets the wrong way and benefits those that don't agree with his thoughts - you should be happy he got it wrong TheElephant Happy

Must have a little bit of influence on the market - remember during the spring carnival they changed how they sent it out so people didn't miss out on prices. Now that might've just been a marketing ploy but I'm guessing if you get a a decent subscription base all betting the same way it will play a part.

Nothing from Mr Elephant this week - I'm guessing RW made a profit

my math aint the best but shouldn't the last column be 121 ?
and that is assuming you got $3 Julianas & Sidestep who both started much much shorter
seeing they apparently send them out 10-15min before each race you are guaranteed to be on at or near the bottom price
you might as well just follow the TVN market mover

Still not a bad day Mr Elephant, and maybe you couldn't get top odds about a couple but Scandiva did pay 8.10 on tote and i'm sure longer was available on here
