as i live in england can you post ur thought on this horse and any other info wen it runs next etc. ive already backed this horse at 12/1 &110 on the info of what ive seen so far and the jockey saying u will be interviewing me on melbourne cup day after winning it on this horse after its last race i saw in 2012. thanks awaiting your replies and updates .
Nothing to do with that second I just dont like to see people make bookies rich unnecesarily as betting that far out at those sorts of odds in the cup is just absurd.

stop bumping the thread, nothing has changed, the horse hasn't raced, the horse is not seriously injured, the horse probably did a large sh1t over night

The news that Puissance De Lune will make his return from minor surgery in next month's P B Lawrence Stakes will be music to the ears of the huge number of punters that have already backed him in the Melbourne Cup.
Sportingbet have declared the Darren Weir-trained galloper their "worst result by a mile" as the countdown to Australia's great race continues.
"Puissance De Lune is already our worst result by a six figure sum," Sportingbet Australia spokesman Andrew Brown said.
"Every day they just keep backing him and we've written more $100 and $200 bets than I'm prepared to count."
Puissance De Lune was a $12 chance when Sportingbet opened betting on the 2013 Melbourne Cup back in November last year.
"We've taken multiple four-figure bets for Puissance De Lune to win the cup including one of $2,000 at odds of $10," he said.
Think its run next Saturday

GLEN Boss has never been backward in coming forward in terms of Puissance De Lune's spring prospects, but after riding him in work at Ballarat his excitement only increased.
Boss couldn't contain his enthusiasm for the grey stallion on Saturday morning after riding him for the first time since he dead-heated on him in the Blamey Stakes in March.
"He's an exciting prospect. He could be the best horse in Australia,'' he said.
"He felt better than he did in the autumn and also last spring. He's put on 50 kilos and it's all muscle and bulk.
"He's really furnished. He's a big powerful bull. He looked magnificent.''
Boss said the Ballarat track was water-logged and they wouldn't race on it so he didn't push him out in the 900m trial.
"He was on the bit throughout and cantered round to finish second,'' he said.
"I don't think I've ever been on a track which is that heavy so we just cruised around. He was on the bridle the whole way and he cantered into second placing.''
Boss said it was the best Puissance De Lune had felt in terms of his action.
"His action felt better than it did last autumn when he had that slight problem and it felt better than last spring,'' he said.
"There's a long way ahead but I would think he'd be hard to beat in anything he contests.''
His trainer Darren Weir said he was pleased with the way Puissance De Lune pulled up from the gallop and he will run in next Saturday's Lawrence Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

1400m, needed every last metre of the mile last time when first up, hard to see it winning this race against some likely types, this being the first up run in a campaign that is likely to last a few months, they won't be trying to get any sort of a gut busting run out of it
SECOND EFFORT would be my tip

Melbourne Cup still a long way off but this is a very weak edition of the Liston Stakes , keep the traditional race names your farkwits otherwise the races loses meaning.

boss claims this horse to possibly be the best horse in australia. if you compare only just winning at 1600m first up to 1400m this time around, the difference is the horse beat a stronger field last time and this time around he has improved.
only downside is the track, 1400m at caulfield is like 1200m at flemington.but good horses win first up at all distance in oz.

The ride got it beaten at Flemington but it's a very average Liston Stakes field, its been proven time and time again that chopping and changing the names of our great races doesn't work.

what can you say about his performance today ? WOW !..won so easily, 2nd last 150m from home, crusied past the field.
boss said after the race he was the best horse he has ridden and he rode the Diva and So you Think

You think Its a Dundeel would have given that lot windburn yesterday, it would have done exactly the same thing as would any horse of genuine quality, for fark sake Launay & Pago Rock were strongly in the market, Mr Moet first up would have disposed of that lot!!!
My point was and always has been that taking 12/1 a year prior to the Melbourne Cup about any horse is a shortcut to the poor house.
By doing so you are aiding and abetting thieving corporate bookmakers who are engaging in an outright act of buggery.
If you had layed the early pre post favourite for the Melbourne CXup and I mean early by a year out you would be that far in front over say the last 30 years you would be laughing all the way to the bank.

Yes I am a well aware of that and I didn't bet against him or in the race I had zero interest in the race other than watching it for the future but this is likely to be the strongest melbourne cup yet and I don't lay horses as rule but if he gets into ridiculous odds this far out for Melbourne cup I will be doing so, what price is he into now 5 or 6 bucks???

Don't get me wrong I like the horse as a horse and I always have, I launched on it in the Bendigo cup after it was blatantly necked at the 'bool at it's previous start how the jock never got time is clearly evident of how incompetent the stewards really are.

If I was a horse I would be the WFA champion of the world over all distances, all surfaces, winning multiple G1 on every continent. When retired to stud after 10 years as the worlds highest rated horse I would set many records including siring the whole field in the Arc, Cox, Breeders ,Dubi world Cup and what ever Japan's and Hong Kongs biggest races are, in my 1st season

We're all often wrong in this game Mr123, the key is not being wrong too often. My opinion is, the CC yes but they may not go for it and risk a penalty for the MC, the Cox Plate? It will want to be a weak rendition to have a chance, 20/1 wouldn't entice me at this stage

If you have backed it @12.0 and 110 as you say i would now lay on bet fair and come out a certain winner. there is a long way to go for Melbourne Cup. Best of Luck

how's the five bucks for a cox plate looking now absolutely ludicrous over reaxtion to his liston stakes win first up, he may still win who knows but the price on offer after that win was insanity.

PDL rolls forward from wide draw imo, Waldpark maybe as well. Whatever they do on AJ she just looks to get a good run, 1.60-70 looks good price compared to her all in quote for Cox plate

Now looks like PDL should have been set for the old traditional Caulfield Cup / Melbourne Cup double. Caulfield Cup would have been a good track gallop and still won by 6 lengths before attempting the Melbourne Cup. Going the Cox Plate / Melbourne Cup may have been a bit greedy, may get too far back in the Cox Plate, then his got to attempt the unknown of 2 miles.

Ah well, being greedy and focusing on the Cox Plate with a lead up to the Melbourne Cup without penalty what happens? their wheels fall off. Silly Barstards could have had a Caulfield Cup sitting on the mantle piece with ease.
