connections made big mistake sacking B. Rawiller off this horse. They'll regret it on cup day.
By:
I said it before he won the queen elizabeth we were looking at the next melb cup winner, the way he put pay to that field in the bendigo cup (I think it was), extraordinary
how will they regret sacking rawiller? been a different animal since bossy got on board |
By:
brad's the best rider in australia in my opinion, is now and will be on first tues. nov.... and boss makes mistakes. Just my opinion, obviously i know who's got the best record etc. etc. etc. i don't care, there's a bigger chance of boss fking it up than rawiller.... IMO.
By:
that's fair enough, game of opinions
I saw rawiller get puissance de lune beat in one of it's earlier starts, looked a certainty licked |
By:
that's the one that got him sacked. It was at the bool...... odds on at the "local" if you know what i mean..... the owners certainly didn't !! they spoke through their pockets

He looks like he could be anything but he's paying Makybe Diva like odds now in the market considering the race is still so long away. If you got $12 plus good going though.

Seriously tying up your money for a year in the hardest race in Australasia to win, a race that keeps getting stronger every year is nothing short of insanity especially when you're only getting 13 bucks!!!
So much can go wrong between now and then, if you were getting in excess of 30/1 you might give it some slight consideration. Even if you totally dominate the market on the day the absolute worst he'll be is 6/4 and at least you'll know the horse is fit, healthy and inform. Taking 12/1 closer to a year out is not value and idiots who do that only further encourage bookmakers to put up ridiculpous prices in pre post markets, that are light years in advance of the events being run. You're entitled to your opinion but don't kid yourself 12/1 a year out from the Cup is not value. |

ffs le .. will you stop talking sense. we want some aftertiming or outrageous baited hooks or something to get into. btw... the eagles are plucked and in the east.. we're luvin it.

NAB Cup mate means less than nothing, am more worried about the injuries to embley and rosa than that result, it just gives woosha plenty of ammo for the rest of the preseason so a great result really.
By:
Very well done on ID quinella Mr Lets, you excel at both codes which is extremely rare
By:
Thanks Spy it was a rare result of late as have been going through a very frustrating run of unlucky runs and constant placings I was on avoid lightning at flemington on Saturday for a good result. Backed Torque in Motion yesterday for a good result at big odds in the Ladyship mile and was on wakheena first up at ascot for a good result but that's the trials and tribulations of punting I suppose, you just have to endure those sort of runs at time with your sanity and nerve still intact.
By:
update for upthedate..... the lunar launch pad is this saturday in the Blamey Stakes. It will be first up over the mile after a 4 months spell and this ...... is NOT worrying the trainer. Good luck dale man for your first profitable punt on the superstar !!

Aftertimer Elope is on record as saying PDL will not win the melbourne cup or something along those lines, it then came out and smashed them in the Queen Elizabeth
it will kill them on Saturday, different league |
By:
Drawn barrier one for the Blamey, is that a disadvantage?
By:
hi thanks all for replies and updates i c PDL running sat anyone please can you give me TIME [england] and course
By:
simply google melbourne time and work out the difference.

got it now flemington 0255

There's nothing in the final field ability wise that can trouble him, given average luck in running and if he's anywhere near wound up.
By:
first up query appears to be allowing the punters to get on. DKW has had the horse working out in low altitude simulator attached to footscray footy club and has stated horse will be fit enough to win. Kick him off it and get the aussies test side training in it imo.

hmmmmm... it's getting interesting.. bossy almost laughing about his comments after the queen elizabeth on the radio universe this morning. He did say a pass mark for the horse would be "winning" though.
Here is the very strange odds for a miracle happening and the horse is not fit ![]() 5. 2.9/1 6. 3.7/1 4. 5.1/1 2. 5.3/1 8. 9.1/1 |
By:
very ltu there's nothing in the race if he's anywhere near up to the mark he should just win this for practice, I can't see him geting that far back either from the good draw. I've taken a small treble on 365 weinholdt into Pussiance into norzita think I got 6 bucks pussiance, 5.50 weinholdt and 1.90 norzita.

Why not take out the Caulfield Cup/Melbourne Cup Double. Don't think lead up wfa races have penalties. Suppose it gets 54 kgs Caulfield Cup, wins (2kg) Penalty =56kgs in Melbourne cup. Easy money. Still I wouldnt be backing this far out anything can happen. Would prefer a more workman like Jockey though. Bossys very good but too too fanciful.

I hate to say I told you so but this is exactly why you don't make bookies rich by taking massive unders about horses 12 months prior to a Melbourne Cup, one of the hardest, if not the hardest race to win on the Australian racing calendar.
MELBOURNE Cup favourite Puissance De Lune underwent surgery today to remove bone chips from a fetlock, but trainer Darren Weir said it would not impact on his spring campaign. Weir alerted Racing Victoria stewards today that the former French stayer required surgery after x-rays yesterday revealed a problem. He said Puissance De Lune pulled up with “little bit of heat” in a fetlock after winning the Blamey Stakes at Flemington on March 9. Weir said after spending 10 days at the Warrnambool it was decided to take precautionary x-rays. “They found a couple of little chips in his joints and the vets recommended to remove them. It was done today and it was very successful,” Weir said. “We ummed and aghed, but in the end we thought it was the best thing to do “The vets said his racing prospects were great.” Weir described it as similar to an end of season clean out for a footballer. Puissance De Lune, winner of the Bendigo Cup, Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Blamey Stakes, said he would rehab for the next eight to nine weeks. |

Yes well done Lets
By:
Nothing to do with that second I just dont like to see people make bookies rich unnecesarily as betting that far out at those sorts of odds in the cup is just absurd.
