I recently read David Schwartz's book and while he was still playing AFL and in the midst of his serious gambling haze, he was paying Mark Hunter $1000 a day for tips!!! That alone raises questions about Mark Hunter's character, or lack of???? I know if Schwartz's is sill enough to pay but $1000 a day that's taking advantage????

David Schwartz doesn't need any simpathy, he's a big boy, he bet he lost so what - I'm questioning the character of a bloke (Mark Hunter) who represents himself as a pro punter to young blokes with cash (AFL players in this case)to sell them "tips" for inflated prices.......I concede if they are silly enough to pay for them it's their problem, I just think it's a bit rich.

MM, if he lost other peoples money that's worng but it's a matter for them, what has it got to do with the discussion? I thought this thread was about the characters involved in current race fixing scandal? in my opinion there are a few things about Mark Hunter that are questionable....

I mentioned it here ages ago and look Hunter might be a stand up guy i have no idea will leave that for them to sort out only those that know him personally know for sure.
what i mentioned is some of these geniuses punters of the past and i wont mention names are mentioned as betting giants smart operators but most and not all but certainly most were linked to jockeys and trainers setting up races and making their big kills plunges winning huge amounts which set them up....the same guys later and now can not pick their noses without the stable info they once received. not to many guys in this game are actually winning because they are astute punters, as i said not all a shifty but a lot are. Also these trainers being called geniuses because when they put the money on they just win..these same trainers are simply hooking superior horses and then entering them in weak races and backing them off the map wow real skill that is, more like skill in how you know what... |

I can assure you I'm wrong on plenty of occasions but then again I'm also right more often than not and that really is the key isn't it to survival in this caper. I would like though to implement that good judgement a bit better at times.

That made me If racing people are ever challenged over links to gangsters they usually suggest that the relationships are harmless friendships based on shared interests (love of cash being one of them). However, the true nature of such liaisons is sometimes exposed when police target a particular crime. John Schreck the previous Sydney steward answered similarly when questioned about his connection to the late George Freeman, Mr Schreck replied, yes i speak to him on the phone, but we don't discuss racing Funny how no one in the AJC or STC thought there was anything wrong with that |

Nothing will clean the game up quicker than if that happens. Chris Munce copped a gaol term in HK for tipping, the penalty seemed harsh to most of us in Aus, but he knew the rules and still chose to break them. HK racing is a lot cleaner for the tough stance they take, the sooner we in Aus start taking a similar stancve ours will be a lot cleaner as well |

exactly spy if they had prison instead of ban they would think twice before doing anything $hifty plus once a jockey is caught setting up a race they should be banned for life from riding i mean if a lawyer was found guilt he would not be allowed to practice law same thing goes for jocks plus ffs they earn a good quid anyway.

Danny Nikolic wants to be very careful he does not meet with an accident set up by the establishment. Must be a couple of State Polititions getting very jumpy at present. From the begger on the street selling drugs to the top of the political tree, they don't like threats to the chain its not good for business in crime controlled Victoria.
