Some decent contests.....  Hawks have been very kind to me this year...they have now covered the line
8 weeks in a row since their lose to Tigers.....    think they will beat Cats by more than 21pts but will wait
to see if Roughead gets rubbed out and what Fri night weather dishes up.

Have backed the Roos to cover the line 44.5....... Dogs are shot now have their best onballers missing
Nothing to play for...... cannot score.... North need percentage....  has all the ingredients of a smacking

I hate to say I told you so but I told you so, some players are so integral in the little things they consistently do for their side  that you dont realise how valuable they are until they'reinjured or gone from the side permanently and glass and rosa are experienced senior players who lead by example and who do countless things that don't register on the stats sheet and you can't tell me that cox is fully fit, shuey walked into the eagles training this week slightly late with what appeared to be medical scans undr his arm, so there were obviously doubts about a number of players.
Cats will flog us next week if they turn up again like this.

very lucky to get away with that one collingwood I didn't have a bet in that game but the umpiring was nothing short of disgraceful, unbelievably bad decsion to give o'brien that free kick, there was no arm contact on o'brien that cost them the goal and a drawn match. It staggering how bad the standard of umpiring has been in crucial moments over the last couple of months.

massive game for the Swannies today, I'll be there cheering them on Cool

confident we'll win and cover the line but it'd be great to get back on top of the Hawks on percentage, we're 3 and a bit points down now. tough games coming up against the Pies, Hawks and Cats along with a win against the Bulldogs - if we want to finish 1 or 2 percentage could be crucial - although I hope we don't need to worry about it Cool

Tigers surprised me last night but any one of Suns +20.5, Swans -18.5 and Crows -37.5 gets me something back, 2 gives me a profit and 3 is a nice result - GO YOU GOOD THINGS Cool

Expecting a high scoring game in Carlton V Sydney, I believe people have marketed this market wrong.

Im expecting at least 195 points in this game, Sydney are playing an expansive style of footy this season.

Sydney averaging 99.27 pts on the attack this season, Carlton average 91.88 pts per game this season

Going for:

5 units on Over 182.5 at $1.87
2 units on Over 197.5 at $2.90
1 unit on Over 221+ pts at $6.50

Suns woeful early they're making the demons look like a flag contender, no physical pressure whatsoever on the ball carrier and when they get the ball going forward are just bombing it in and it's getting picked off every time, ablett has barely missed but hardly anyone else joining in dees lead 35 to 1 already with 3min 56 left in the first quarter, really disappointing performance to date.
Report Lets Elope August 5, 2012 4:42 AM BST
41 to 1 against melbourne, they're are kidding aren't they the suns, I thought they were half a chance today and ha something on a small multi suns, swans, crows. This game is all but over already even against a side as poor as melbourne. More fool me. They need to do some serious recuting inthe off season on this perfromance today. You would hope they lift significantly for the rest of the game because this has been nothing short of pathetic, almost as ordinary as the Eagles were yesterdayLaugh

Gold Coast need to follow the GWS model and recruit a few older mature players, they going to keep struggling, until they recruit maybe 2-3 players this upcoming season (ready made AFL players), I see more potential in GWS than GC at the moment
Report VeryLTU August 5, 2012 5:03 AM BST
much more WCE, although suns have been hit with injury to those mature players this year and that's why they have been trading ridiculous overs for most of the season in the spoon market. Bock was the seriously bad injury, it left bad players like warnock and weller to carry the inexperienced backliners... the inevitable happened.
Report Lets Elope August 5, 2012 5:05 AM BST
Thats better footy from the sun two in a row dees trying to show poor they are this quarter, can't wait for the next game swans and blues to start so I can stop watching this rubbish. Ablett been unbelievable ,dont think he's missed a target yet, harley bennell lifted big time this quarter suns now have three in a row 54-28 with 8min 13 left in the second quarter. dont think the dees would be panicking just yet though. Zac Smith just limps off with a possible knee injury players going down like tenpins at the moment. Magner subbed on to the ground for the dees.
Report VeryLTU August 5, 2012 5:11 AM BST
LaughLaugh... me either lets but have to watch a bit to be ready for mopping duties in the spoon market. This game highlights how pathetic melbourne really is .... they go as hard as johnny holmes playing on home turf against a bottom four side... but as soft as a marshmallow away against anyone.
Report Lets Elope August 5, 2012 5:39 AM BST
Yes there a massive bottom end to the league, how the hell did the lions play as good as they did against the eagles earlier in the year after what they served up last night at home, they've gone massively backwards in recent weeks as well. Dogs nowhere fast, there's  going to be some cut throat recruiting in the off season some of these teams are going to have to bite the bullet and work out some serious trades, meaning they will have to give up something in order to get something in return, if they even hope to improve. Pretty depressing for fans of some of these teams I would think. If Gold Coast don't display some serious improvment next season which logically you would think they would, ablett should ask to be traded, he doesn't deserve this. Made his own choice I know but gee with the talent at their disposal they would want to make some serious improvement next season.

Snake they get Glass back but geelong are on the move bigtime and the eagles effort even though I fully expected them to lose on the weekened was pitiful.

I'm sure you'll see a better effort but injuries as I said prior to the last roound have reached a tipping point, rosa will be gone for at least another couple of weeks and don't think they can risk bring embley back against the cats, all going well he should be back for the Port game.
But so many of their players look tired from having to carry such a huge load all year, Kerr nowhere near right he couldnt explode away from packs and I don't care how many touches he had, he shouldnt have played, dalziell has been flying inthe Wafl after recovering from his knee injury and  should have played and I would like to see both him and Brad **** who is playing a well in the WAFL get a look in. Shuey I think was carrying an injury as well and was well down on his normal output as a result Scott selwood hasn't done much since  about round 12 and needs to pull his finger out and Cox clearly wasn't right either. So give them zero hope of beating a charging Geelong.

WESTERN Bulldogs young gun Tom Liberatore was found by police in a state of unconsciousness in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Bulldogs became aware of the incident on Sunday and are dealing with the matter.

It is believed the player was found in possession of a small amount of illicit substances, and was questioned by police after they found him at 3.30am on King St in Melbourne's CBD.

He has been placed in a diversion program by police.

Liberatore's health is not of concern to those dealing with the matter, it is believed.

Despite repeated attempts in the past 24 hours, the Bulldogs have failed to return calls on the matter.

It is believed the incident will constitute a "strike" under the AFL's illicit drugs policy.
