Think the Blues are @ rock bottom price. Going to lay them @ $1.26 and start backing em back around the $1.60 mark and above.

Backed saints +27.5, don't think the blues play Etihad that well

Good point Jacko, stadium is a massive factor here. Saints at the line. Not convinced the over is the play here, expecting a tight tussle, and at half time I think the Under will look the goods. Good chance the game is 80-60 type scoreline and I will be punting accordingly.

Fantastic betting opportunity now with the late Saints goals. This style of footy is not what the Saints want, and Carlton will blow this apart.

I put 100 on saints @ 4.8 and 100 on over 176.5 Grin But wasn't expecting it to go this easy. Then again this is what you get when you flirt with form Carlton, Resting judd against GWS and not playing great either last week, then coming up against a decent team this week...you can't just switch it on and off.

ray was terrif made a couple of erros at times but mroe than made up for it with overall quality of his play agree he was instrumental inthe win, stevens a real emerging players as well and stanley continues to impress, fair bit of upside and think my man beau can mark an important contribution as well, I didn't see siposs do al that much when wilkes was subbed off.
Also how pro blues was the commentary, darcy in particular how dangerous the blue looked with their outside run at least half a dozen time he said that  saints got very litle credit msot of the night for how well they played.

Big test next week against the Eagles. If the market is half close the Saints will go around at about 4.00 again. Would seem mighty tasty odds on tonight's showing.
Report CrazySnake May 14, 2012 2:26 PM BST
I hit the little bit of 4.00 that was there. Might end up looking silly but I think that's overs.

Eagles will need to lift big time from the way they  played against the bombers on what I saw tonight, saints must just about challenge for favouritism SnakeWink

Has suddenly become a massive game for both sides.
Report CrazySnake May 14, 2012 2:38 PM BST
I wasn't looking forward to the game, but suddenly I give us a chance. Things have turned around for both sides this week. The odds would have been 1.20 and 6.00 before this week's results, I would have thought.
Report Lets Elope May 14, 2012 2:39 PM BST
ballantyne gets the tijuana from my supercoach side this week for saad, as soon as it reopens, ballantyne been a massive disappointment this season, Im  a massive wrap for him as a player and he's very important to the dockers and is letting them down big time, needs to get back to running hard and splitting sides open with his pace and skill than all this getting in peoples faces craap.
Report CrazySnake May 14, 2012 2:40 PM BST
Speaking of odds, someone give me a take on this. Freo 2.04 for the top 8 for tons. Sitting 5-2 and were around 1.75 before the game against Port. Seems mighty high to me, but such is the market these days maybe that's right. I think it's overs.
Report Lets Elope May 14, 2012 2:47 PM BST
snake they're only just going currently and have the hawks in launceston this week and could be in for a massive pasting. desperately need morabito back fit and firing but he has at least another three weeks in the wafl to get fit presuming he doesnt have anymore setbacks and no guarantee he';s going to return to top form immediately, ballantyne needs to get back playing smart footy and not worrying about getting in peoples faces, kid has the potential to be anything if he puts his mind to it.
Report CrazySnake May 14, 2012 2:54 PM BST
Yep, Ballantyne needs to play footy. Spends too much time talking and not enough time doing.
2.04 is priced for them to have already lost I reckon. I am likely to hit that tomorrow. I just need a guide from one of the corps. My gut says it's too high. I hit 200 of it, but I don't want a big problem if it's right. $200 isn't a great loss at this point.

Report Lets Elope May 14, 2012 3:57 PM BST
Trust me snake they'll get a pasting this week from the hawks and then play 20 lengths above themselves in the derby, cyril and buddy could run riot this week.
Report Joel May 14, 2012 4:01 PM BST
I think the Dockers are still the team to beat from the West, should beat Hawks by 15-20 goals and then smash the Eagles by 20 goals +.
Report West Coast Eagles May 14, 2012 4:05 PM BST
WCE will have enough fuel in the tank to counter Saints next week, big inclusions coming up for Eagles, add the 2 day break+ home advantage+key players

have not looked at odds yet but Id price it 1.40 WCE v 3.50 Saints
Report CrazySnake May 14, 2012 4:17 PM BST
I'd have them a little closer than that, WCE. I am thinking more like 1.53 and 2.88 ish.
I think the Eagles will win, but the Saints showed they are not done with. Looked like a pretty good side most of tonight.
Dockers will probably get smacked by the Hawks. If they send half a side like last year they could end up on the bad end of an AFL scoring record. But with Ross Lyon's negating coaching style it's hard to see that happening.
How you liking your new coach, Docker fans? Personally, I am glad to see the back of him. Saints were way more fun to watch tonight moving the ball the way they did and kicking 19 goals and winning instead of 8 and stopping the opposition to 4.

Pretty obvious ramping attempt right there. Not good, guys.
Report Lets Elope May 15, 2012 3:13 AM BST
clearly they don't know how to read a game in running.
blues were only in front early on saints unpressured errors with their turnovers resulting in goals to the blues early in the game, once they eliminated those errors they were right on top for the overwhelming majority of the game I kept laying them in therun I got them at 1.13, 1.4 and 1.5 to go with my 1.25 at the start of the match.

Maybe they stop paying attention to overly bias incorrect commentary and assessments and watch what's actually occurring out on the field.
Report CrazySnake May 15, 2012 3:20 AM BST
Carlton had one good patch in the first term. Beyond that they were smacked in the contested ball and beaten for pace, which really shocked me. That result was over mid way through the second term and Ratten did nothing to change it.
Poor coach, very, very poor.
Report Winker May 16, 2012 5:34 AM BST
I did have something on the Saints at the line to start the game, but most of my plays are in running, and I got this one terribly wrong. Agree with Lets Elope, you need to factor out the commentary, but what I saw was the Blues running harder, and I thought they would start to control the midfield from the end of the 1st qtr. At qtr time I took advantage of a couple of late Saints goals to unload on Carlton. I basically gave back most of the weekend's profits. Full credit to those that saw the game unfolding better than me, that's what makes it gambling...
Report Lets Elope May 16, 2012 9:43 AM BST
fair enough winker everyone reads a game differently but I immediately saw the same signs from carlton as I did the previous week against GWS, players who have basically achieved nothing and have an over inflated opinion of themselves ie garlett shouldnt be running around in orange boots, it sends a signal that you're getting way ahead of yourself son.
Report CrazySnake May 17, 2012 1:48 AM BST
